As usual we're a couple of weeks ahead of most of the country but It's definitely spring here. The birds are nesting and the Flowers have been blooming for a few weeks now.

Spring has really asserted itself. Highs mid 70s, lows mid 60s for at least the next 10 days. And I like it.

Things really starting to change here. Single digits for lows the beginning of last week to a high of 50 expected today.

Today is going to be the beginning of our outdoor spring cleanup undertaking. I've got a fair amount of trees on my property that shed their depleted branches all over the yard. Mowing will come soon enough and I don't be needing to be hitting any of that crap. It's still way too soft to be driving the tractor around the yard so we'll simply be piling up the debris to haul away another day.

Had a campfire yesterday afternoon/evening. Felt good to simply cook some dogs over the fire.

Can't wait to get my 'brown on' with some spring/summer sun.

Hey, how about that time change?

Kudos to those of you in locations that don't bother with this crap. Daylight hours naturally get longer and then they get shorter. Not sure why a change in warranted. Makes me wonder if Brian France was once in charge of our Calendar/Time system.

I usually have horrible "time change hangovers". It will take me a week or so to adjust.
I just wish "they'd" pick a time and stick to it. Doesn't matter which it is, just so it stays the same year round.

I don’t even notice the difference in the time change outside of the fact that it’s sunny later. It doesn’t affect my sleep at all. I only sleep 5-7 hours at a time.
I just hope it gets warm soon. I just went out to the mailbox barefoot. I almost froze to death. It’s 61 degrees.

Just cut and fertilized the back lawn.
Sitting outside with a beer, not a cloud in the sky.
They’re talking about 80 for Sunday’s race.
I think I got the neighbor kid talked into going to his first NASCAR race :D

Really got lucky last night. No severe storms. Rain hit about 5 AM ---- just dozed for 2 more hours waiting for the lightning and thunder to start along with the extreme winds. None of that ever materialized, thank goodness. In fact, only had one clap of thunder and that was about 30 minutes ago. LOL
3/4 inch of rain. Wild flowers loving it.

Rain this morning, with a bomb cyclone later today into tomorrow. Basically, we can expect heavy winds with a chance of headaches. Apparently the barometric pressure is expected to be much lower than it usually is, but I dont really understand much of what they are saying.

Turned into a Chamber of Commerce day. Not a cloud in the sky. Warm. Light breeze.
All my windows are open, blowing out the old stale winter.
Even going to back out my big mower and trim up the front yard in a bit. Yeah, it's that nice.
Still no word on my car.

Supposed to hit 70 degrees with sunshine today. Tomorrow they are calling for mixed rain & snow in the evening, March in western PA..... Gotta luv it.

Beautiful here today.....flying to Cali tomoro. Hope its warmer than last year.

Looks like spring is starting to kick in, but still cool enough to keep the snow from melting and keep the snow conditions fantastic. Those traverse tracks in this pic lead to the goods that could be found just below the Palisades that can be seen in the farthest right part of this pic. Rocking a goggle tan today, and hit day 50 on the mountain for me this year.

The weather is beautiful, the Blue Angels came back from winter hibernation last Monday and I'm watching them practice as I type this. Life is good.

Really enjoyed going outside and getting some pictures with the old film camera. Developing them myself in the darkroom tomorrow!

There is 6 inches of snow on my deck this morning. We are expecting rain, sleet, and more snow today. So I've decided to stay home today and avoid the slick roads.

Lows in the low 60s and highs in the high 70s here.

Past couple of days it has been rainy and windy with temps in the 40's, low 50's.
Today, sunny, no wind, in the 60's with the high of 67. It was wonderful!.

I heard a big block yesterday, the muscle cars came out this weekend. In this part of the country it is a sign of spring kinda like seeing the first robin.

I thought that this was an Easter lily of some kind but was informed today by the use of the noggin bonker that they're amaryllis. Different ones and colors have been blooming since February. By the looks of a couple of them they'll be blooming well into late may. What a strange year we're having weather wise.

@TexasRaceLady How did you make out with all of the storms. It's getting close to us now.
Had 1.75 in the rain gauge. Nothing severe --- some high wind, but no hail. Over half of the rain came in one 45 minute window about 2 PM Wednesday afternoon. By 4 PM, you could hardly tell it had rained. No puddles and very little run-off. Soaked in so fast, you could almost hear it being slurped up.

Winter is back.Winter storm warning calling for 9-18 inches of snow in the Tahoe region. Squaw Valley is open and I'm gonna ski powder on May 17.:D Unbelievable.
