Time again for the start of the Formula One season. Ready for Ferrari to get my hopes up just for them to let me down like always and hopefully Riccardo can do decent in the Renault. Besides that , hopefully we have a good season, even though that is asking alot

Not gonna say McLaren are 'back' by any stretch of the imagination but I think they'll be a lot better. I think how Leclerc does at Ferrari, how Alfa Romeo does, and how badly Williams can plummet will be interesting. I don't see Red Bull's Honda switch doing too much for them.

They're also giving 1 bonus point for fastest lap, so long as you finish in the Top 10 now...

I agree, these are three intriguing storylines. Last year the racing sucked... about a 1 on a scale of 1 to 10. But we did have an exciting points battle for the first half of the season, so that was one redeeming thing. And the commercial-free TV coverage was another.

For 2019, I'm pessimistic on the quality of the racing... hopefully some improvements from last year, but F1 has a long way to go before we have scintillating head-to-head competition. I'm more optimistic about a good points battle (I seem to say that every year).

I'm rooting for Ferrari... as I've done every year since 1963... except when Mario was in the Lotus!

Mercedes is looking good again, but I think that quali pace is going to come back and haunt them. This means either they have a damn good car or this car eats tires as well. Leclerc looked good on long runs and so did Seb.

Williams technically did not make the old "107% rule". Yikes what a mess for them.

Hmmmm....

Vettel put down a 1:22.5 and Vettel messes up the last corner... The Ferrari looks glued.

Drivers are starting to gain more confidence in their cars. Dudes are all elbows out right now.

Ready for the green flag!!

I've been on a sports bender today that started at 11 A.M with the America East basketball championship. I've watched parts of 22 bball games, a Xfinity race and The Players golf tournament. I'm hoping to make it to the end of the Formula 1 race then wake up and do it all over again tomorrow!! Relatively speaking...lol..

Really good start by Bottas. If there's anywhere he could hold off Hamilton it's a place like Melbourne.
