2019 Gander Outdoors Truck Series Thread

KBM started out building Kyle legend cars, it has transformed into a championship caliber truck team. Kyle can take much of the credit for the transformation, both in picking good young talent and ironing out the bugs on the track. Outfits like that go broke quite often, he has done very well. Not to mention the fact that Rowdy nation wants to see him on the track as often as possible.
Doesn't he have a new business with partners to produce race cars for sale or lease????

Might have something to do with one top 5 in 66 races in the truck series why Bubba is in the seat. Young Austin has a lot of tracks that have been horrible for him. Going to be interesting to see if Wallace can do any better with the equipment.

Good place for Gilliland to get that first win, Creed has quietly put good season together so far, but don't forget about Crafton and Sauter.

This is going to be a great race tomorrow!

Interesting to see Poole up there. He will be an itch as well, I mean his symbol is a freaking bull.:D

Burton and Gilliland are long-term projects. I would like to see a full-time veteran to help those two at KBM.

A veteran was there to help them all weekend .... the guy that unloaded terrible and worked to put a winning truck in the race. Sad that Kyle can't devote more time to the series

Maybe after this week he will have more time to help these guys out.

4 races in and only 7 playoff points earned total by the field.
Probably won't get any better at Texas. Pork chop is signed up for all three series. One race left in May after Texas, and that should be all of the fiasco for the year in trucks.

Getting 'em out of the way early should give the regulars time to make up some points.

He doesn't screw up the points as bad as he takes the identity away from the truck racers. All ya hear is Kyle this or that. Great way to keep his name in front of the press racing in the little leagues who eat it up. One poster here was talking about how bad Friesen was doing. Hell I didn't know he was leading the points either and that the regulars are having a hell of a points battle until I looked it up. That's one of the bad things out of the deal with the only cup driver sniping cheap wins, and pork chopping the prize money. Nobody knows what is going on until the Kyle Busch show leaves.

Wow, only 17 truck teams have raced all 4 races.
Some of that is because drivers have to be 18 to race on the larger tracks and some teams like at Martinsville are local racers that can afford to enter a truck. Ya see a lot of that during the year. This series feels the affects of economics faster than the others. The spec engine helped a bunch last year and so far this year. I can't understand why they haven't gone to composite bodies yet like the Xfinity cars have.

I assume 'Some practice' means he isn't running the race, that Biff is in the truck to provide feedback. But why would Kyle need feedback? Maybe Greg's just looking for some hot laps? Is Kyle not satisfied with his driver options for the #51 for the rest of the year?

I hope this doesn't bring all the Edwards theorists back out of the woodwork.

Yeah it's a little odd. Could be maybe he's planning to run a race in the near future? Or maybe it's just because he's doing stadium trucks and since he'll already be there for that, why the heck not?

Here is a good example of what Kyle has done for the truck series
