Well this was the site of Daniel Ricciardo's last win, which was last year. He always seem to get a podium
in Monaco and I rooted for him at this race. With the new team I am hoping he can eek out a top 10 this
weekend. Can't wait for the all important quali!

How did Ferrari go from dominating testing to being so hopeless. Last year Ferrari supposedly had the best car, so they do the sensible thing and fire the principle! We don't need no stinkin' continuity!

Will Mercedes score a perfect season of all 1, 2 finishes? Seems like a ridiculous question, but they have five in a row now and have the front row locked out for tomorrow. Even in 2014 they didn't make it this far. This might be the most dominant Mercedes team we have ever seen. Makes you wonder how much of the rest of the season is actually worth watching.

Binotto has been horrible so far for Ferrari IMO. Not a good look for him so far.
Arrivabene was the best principal they’d had since Todt. Binotto is gonna be a one-and-done at this rate.

Of course, the problem goes deeper than the principal. It’s been bad for over a decade now.

I mean Ferrari has brushed through the entire infrastructure of the team since Alonso's time at the team. It seems like it hasn't helped much of anything. Interestingly enough, Binotto was an engine guru at Ferrari during the Schumacher years. IMO this is why Ferrari's engine might be so damned good. At the same token, the chassis does not look as strong as it did from the past two seasons.

This might be similar to the 1988 season that McLaren had. No one is remotely close to Mercedes atm.

Magnussen and Riccardo have shaking a bit. They both look quick and I have a feeling they might touch in the first corner.

Three laps in and the last car in top four pack is already five seconds ahead of everyone else. It's just bewildering how Mercedes, Red Bull, and Ferrari manage to whip everyone worse and worse as seasons go by. Ferrari aren't even good!

Budgets of nearly 200-300 million makes a difference.

Bottas is making some ground now.

Now up to ten seconds after five laps. Unreal.

I think Leclerc should've gotten some sort of penalty there.

So true...but Ferrari can’t get out of their own way to even pose a challenge to Mercedes. I don’t have a problem with the Mercedes/Hamilton dominance, the problem is the teams with the budget to mount a challenge look completely clueless.
