At this point, just kill stages entirely. They really haven't done much to make the racing at the 1.5 milers any better. All they have done is make road course races worse. Which is, as I said, typical Brian France era NASCAR, attempting to fix one problem ends up creating more problems

then you guys can complain about all of the commercials covering up the race. It's bad enough now.

I don't see how DW isn't back for a couple guest appearances next year, especially if they aren't directly replacing him. He doesn't seem ready to disappear.
I was thinking the same thing no way he’s not on the telecasts next year in some shape or form, we’ll see what Fox comes up with. I’m going to miss DW for sure starting next week when we are graced with Rick Allen and around goes adversity.

that's a good idea, probably would boost viewership if he did do a bit or two.

Zero chance. They are TV timeouts and the networks like them, and the NASCAR execs like what they do for increasing interest and 'strategy' in the first half of races. I don't like them, at all. There seems to be enough agreement that they are bad for road courses that I could possibly see them making a change for those. But less likely than them deciding they need additional stooge breaks to bunch the field back up. That was a natural race for the second half, and look at the complaints about gaps between positions.

"Martin Truex Jr., who had never won at a short track prior to Richmond earlier this year, is now aiming to get his first win at a superspeedway, which would get him five playoff points which would have major playoff implications."

NASCAR isn't leaving Sonoma or the Bay Area. I'd much prefer taking a trip to Laguna/Monterrey.

Bullcrap stages all year long and the same guys race the winner-takes-all race at the end of the year. SMDFH.
Give me the names and years that the top five at years end didn't run top 5 in most of the races. I believe it's called the creme rising to the top. Not many Lake Speeds left.

DW was "sitting on a hot stove today and pee'd ice " today.

and its true the stage yellows kills road course racing and I get why the tv networks like them but at road courses they really need to stop throwing them still have the stage points at the end just don't throw the yellow cause it messes the whole race up.
