Xfinity RACE thread --- Loudon

Never really understood what exactly the cup guys expect when racing in the Xfinity. Like when they get mad, are they mad because the xfinity drivers didn't let them drive by? Or are they mad because they expect rookie drivers to be able to keep control of their car? Either way, get out of these races if you dont like how the Xfinity drivers race.

Let me know if he mentions me in VL

Burton’s post race was great. He def came off better than he guy who dumped him.

Going forward, he will “race accordingly”.

Exactly, like these guys are racing for a future. Paul is racing well, I'm not sure Paul is racing for. :XXROFL:Talk to him afterwards and let him know these things. At some point sure you might have to do something, but honestly today was just dumb.

Paul seems mad that the Penske Xfinity cars suck this year + being 1000% average in Cup at 20th in points

Someone has to 20th in points. Just sayin'

I like Paul and I agree every series needs an average driver, but I feel like maybe Paul is frustrated he's not as competitive as he should?

I honestly expected him to do better jumping from RCR to the 21 but he hasn't. I remember he was damn good at making points in 2014-16 with RCR.
Yeah, I guess he doesn't have to come 20th ALL the time. Lol

I’ve been a huge fan of the 21 since the 60s. When Menard got the gig it was a very meh moment for me. Dood is the definition of not-good-enough.

And Cup drivers biyatching about Xfinity drivers driving them hard is really cringe-worthy.

After watching it a few times, the contact before the bump was minuscule, next time find a way around him.

I don’t see the dislike of Menard, regardless if he’s an average driver or not does that mean he’s not allowed to tag someone back if they drive him rough? I wasn’t aware there was a certain talent level to stand up for yourself

Speaking only for myself, pointing out he’s average is not disliking him.

As to yesterday I already said Menard overreacted. You see it as tagging him back.

Burton said it best:

“This isn’t F1 where if you touch someone you get a five-second penalty, this is NASCAR, I barely touched him and I got wrecked.”

Looked like H Burton came up in the turn and gave Menard a little rap. So Menard gently turned him. Pretty interesting with Papa Burton in the booth.

Racing incident -- Play On!

Menard did the right thing...twice the kid used Menard as banking after Menard kept giving him room the laps before...then Burton leaned on him...Menard's car was just starting to come in and Burton had no hope to catch anyone else...Menard punting him was the best part of a lackluster race.

Menard handled it like a gentleman...gave you room twice, then you hit me twice...there is no third time.

With the left rear unloaded in the center of the corner, thats all it takes and he knew it.

I agree he hooked him and it was at the the most defenseless part of the lap.

“Which means that Menard was the faster car”

Funniest line of the thread.
