Literally nobody said he can’t get good finishes. However, he’s approaching his 2 year anniversary of his last cup win and is getting schooled by his teammate. They should try a crew chief change

His teammate is a champion, and a Busch.

Schooled by his teammate? Ok. Since Sonoma Kurt Busch outside of his win has a best finish of 9th...

So Kurt is out already & Larson is still in. Aside from Kurt's nice little Kentucky victory, they've been pretty even in a lot of stats. Kurt has really cooled off since that win.

Larson typically runs well at Dover.

Larson had run better than Kurt. Just hasn't won a race because of crap luck.

So does anyone still think kyle larson is the next big star? Sure doesnt look like one to me. No wins in his last 80 races

I think at the time he could have been, but being at Ganassi has not helped. I get why he is there though. If you want to run dirt and Chip is willing to let you, why leave? I think if he were to leave and head to Hendrick or Gibbs you would have a different tone. The talent isn't a question. Even if he were to leave today though, he would never live up to the hype that he had.

Gibbs lets Bell run sprint cars and midgets. Hendrick let Kahne run sprint cars. I think Larson is just loyal to Chip for being the only one who didn't ask for money up front.

Should go to SHR. Would love that as Stewart,SHR, and Larson fan.

I'd like to see him at SHR here in the next couple years. Harvick - Larson - Custer - Suarez would work.

The changeover of rules packages did not help Larson's driving style. That said, he is still in the top 10% of the field talent-wise. Top 5 driver without a doubt.

They did what they needed to the first round. Not light the world on fire just be consistent. I wish we could have seen him go all out at the roval but when they didn’t clinch in the second stage Chad just told him to not push it and ride in the top 15 the rest of the race.

I saw this post the other day..... Robby seems to be doing OK.

Hey I boat out of Pirates Cove sometimes. Small world.

Also. LFG Yung Money!!! Did you guys know it has been 75 races since his last points paying victory?

No one has been harder on Larson than I have, but the dude got it done today. Congrats to the entire 42 team for a job well done.

Really? That's crazy. Never knew!

Larson is gonna be in the playoffs still at Martinsville. Here's to 3 weeks of worrying about that. He's beyond bad there. Hoping he can win Texas or Phoenix otherwise I don't see him making Homestead with the lack of playoff points and probably a 15th to 20th at Martinsville coming up.

This is the year too, while Homestead is still finale.

Except Chip allows for a lot more races on his schedule. I forget how may dates a year he gives him, but I know it is significantly more than the others. Chip also helps with sponsorship on his outlaw kart showcase he puts on every year. I think overall there is a huge loyalty that he has towards Chip for letting him do his thing.

Every body says kyle larson is so good and so talented but he can never win lol. Isnt that what everyone used to say about robby gordon?
Well, he’s guaranteed a berth in the round of 8, so you are either barking up the wrong tree, or you feel threatened that KB isn’t performing up to the level of at least 5 other drivers right now.

I had a feeling Yung Money was due for a win for a few weeks now and he finally got it done at one of his best tracks.

Also he won the All-Star Race while everybody blabbed on about his winless streak.

Good hunch, he's been fast for a while, battled Bowman for the win way back, Darlington was fast on Jones heels, Indy was walking Harvick down before pit road penalty buried him.

Funny thread in retrospect.

It's of no surprise that the first two "overrated" comments came from Kyle Busch fans, a driver who has held the hilariously unwarranted "most talented driver ever" mantle.

Wonder how they're feeling about it now.

I work with the guy who started this thread. We're trying to figure out his login so he can respond
