NASCAR 2019 - Bold Prediction Thread

hey,matt d got the 2nd of 10,almost there.

More importantly you need Larson to get red hot :)

Pretty damn good if you get the other 2. Byron seems closer to winning than JJ and Matt D is getting fed upgraded equipment on the regular now to top 10.

well matt d got another one,i think that is about 22 now.really i lost count.

I'll update the spreadsheet after Indianapolis.

That race is sure to have an impact on a whole bunch of predictions related to the playoffs and the season championship.

With ten races remaining . . . . . .

win for larson and another top 10 for matt d,but i think iam running out of time

I sure did ruin Aric Almirola's year with my prediction lol. I really did think after last season he was on the verge of breaking thru this year but it just didn't happen. Funny story when we went to the Bristol Night Race a couple of months ago before we went into the track we were walking around at the souvenir haulers outside of it looking at t-shirts, hats and what not. At the # 10 souvenir hauler I heard somebody say hey there's Almirola. Sure enough he was there. I pull for the Stewart-Haas team, the line was short, so we got in it and I sprung for a new #10 hat that he signed. I wished him good luck in the race. I think he crashed or something so I basically ruined his race that night too lol.

I don't think a first time winner will win the last race. But I did get a couple chances for the 3rd one.

Prediction #1: Martin Truex Jr. wins six races and his second championship.
Prediction #2: Kyle Busch wins five races and ends up second in points standings.
Prediction #3: Chase Elliott wins three races and makes the final four.
These where actually better than the ones I officially submitted. Lol

Here are my final predictions:

Prediction #1: Ricky Stenhouse Jr. wins three races: Daytona 500, Coke Zero 400 (Daytona) & the Brickyard, becoming the fourth driver in history to win the Daytona 500 & the Brickyard the same season.
Prediction #2: Denny Hamlin has a bounce back season, winning five races & earning a trip to the final four.
Prediction #3: Kurt Busch looks like his old self, winning four races & the championship in surprising fashion.
That would've received some votes I bet.

Like I haven't won enough.....My bold prediction that no driver will lose a Cup win due to penalty proves true. I would like to thank Jay Fabian for figuring all of this out, and handling everything with a conversation instead of a consequence.

Keeping in mind that . . .

"For those making multiple predictions in their post, all individual predictions must be proven true in order for the entire prediction to be considered as the most bold."

. . . an initial review of the submittals finds that only four players qualify to have their prediction(s) considered as being the most bold.

A thread that provides for voting for one of the qualifying predictions will be posted soon.

Thanks for keeping up with this!

A Cup race will get completely washed out, and have to be made up at some other time later in the schedule.

Unfortunately for Allenbaba, this is last year's bold prediction thread.

Plus washed-out means due to rain

For what it's worth, I would have accepted last year's prediction by @Allenbaba as having been proven true if he had made it this year.

To me, "washed out" doesn't necessarily relate to a rain event and can be used as somewhat of a generic term regarding something that's been canceled or postponed.

Much like "washed-up" doesn't necessarily refer to something that's been cleaned with soap and water.

I wouldn't have voted for it. As often as races get rained out, having one bumped to another weekend doesn't seem particularly bold to me.
