RACE thread --- Daytona 500

I was very hopeful when Fox showed the reply. But good ****** God when he got piled in you can wee the whole driver's compartment/roll cage shift. Makes me nausea.

Hoping for the best! Remember, Bodine walked away from this...

Boy, FS2 goes right to the race intro......

I don’t know about that.

The problem is every impact stretches the belts. So every impact after the first results in more body movement. He took a HUGE shot in the upper cage/window area after the HUGE wall impact. It was about as bad as it gets.

Y'all remember Newman also sits with the steering wheel basically in his face. Hope that did not play a role in this.

Yeah I didn’t need to watch it again after seeing it once. Knew right away it was bad news. Hoping for the best.

finger pointing at drivers: wrong target. name calling here: get your emotions in check. we are the ones to blame for supporting this type of racing. my second post on this board was a long time ago. but after thanking the person who invited me, was a rant against restrictor plate racing. I am equally to blame. no more.

“Held his line on a slow arc” WTF does that mean, he dropped down? Oh I wear glasses and with them I have 20-20 vision.
Yes. He turned to the left to negotiate the tri-oval. Are you suggesting he should have turned right, which would have turned him directly into Hamlin?

No one is going to blame. These drivers choose to do this and if you can't accept that you need to find a new sport.
