RACE thread --- Daytona 500

Anyone ever heard concept "everyone processes grief differently"? There is a fear that he has passed. People are anxiously anticipating this. In a situation like this, everyone here has a right to express whatever is is they are feeling, whether it's panic, anger, sadness, aggression etc. Everyone has a right to feel that way, we should be compassionate towards each other here. Not hostile.

Was expecting the worst.

Never been so happy to be proved otherwise.

God speed on a complete recovery.

I feel for the families and team members that were waiting to hear the news about Ryan's condition. I have been in that position a few times and whether it is your own driver or the driver from another team it is a long and brutal experience until you get the confirmation good or bad.

I feel a little better now, but we don't know what type of injuries he has. Hope he's able to recover though!

Considering the abuse that car took it’s testament to the advances in car safety.

I could not stop thinking of that pre-race interview yesterday where Newman was blowing off MW while hugging his girls.
To do something that was more important.

Newman is a tough muddafukka

I know he is in a lot of pain and likely has a very long road to recovery, but thankfully he'll still get to be a father to his little girls.

Goodnight yall today has been one hell of a ride...
