Maybe the 2020 O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 Pre-Race Thread

i would guess maybe same as Bristol?
I don't think they have a limit on fans but one they come up with. Can't get in without wearing a mask. They have said they are going to spread the fans out, no coolers, but bring a clear sack so they can see what fans are bringing in. They can bring along an empty soft sided cooler though and transfer what is in the sack over to the cooler after going thru the gate. I think there will be plenty of fans there considering. Texas always draws a good crowd. Most of them are from Dallas.

There is still 9 days left to bid on it, that's just the current bid.

I don't care about this in this case.

I'm going off of what I've seen. The first 2018 race was fun and chaotic to watch, but to each is their own. I would have to remember what I posted last year and my rate the race score. Just what I've seen this year, even though a different discipline, just left a horrible taste. Especially with no practice, I'm hoping the addition of the PJ1 makes it interesting on Sunday with the high temps.

Still, I don't care for how the track was redone. The eye test still holds weight to me.
The first 2018 race was horrible. Lapped cars were holding up the leader for several laps. This is one of the few tracks this package greatly improved.

Does anyone else feel this way? Is NASCAR purposely defining rules that inhibit fender rubbing racing and at the same time trying to keep them within a certain striking distance?

In the words of one of our omnipotent fellow posters, no.

Once again, a HMS team shoots themselves in the foot. They may be a lot better than last year, but not good enough to keep overcoming unforced errors.
eh, that is an error for one car, not unsurmountable. Drivers start at the back all of the time and make it to the front.
