Another classic Kyle Busch interview

I don't even pay attention to what KB says anymore and I can't believe so many others still do. Half this thread is about Kyle Busch. He definitely knows what buttons to push so that he is the center of attention. He is getting more ink then the winner...again :)

Oops, I thought I was in the race thread when I said half this thread is about Kyle Busch. :D

I think the 22 is one of the nicest guys out there. Him and Bell.
Not sure about Bell but if I owned a car I sure would like someone with Joeys tenacity behind the wheel. Nice guys don't finish first often.

I honestly find Kyle Busch more entertaining than irritating these days. His postrace sound bites are always gold.

Other than running over Chase at Darlington. **** him for that one;)

Same.

I don't like the guy and I still root against him, but I find him entertaining. Love him or hate him, you gotta admit he's very good for NASCAR.

Are Kyle Busch and MTJ the only drivers in recent memory to call out by name drivers from very low funded teams? Just shows an egregious lack of humility.

If I was Gase or Smithley, I’d wall Kyle the first chance next weekend.

"On what's next: "We'll be eliminated next round."

I hope so.
Yeah this isn't him playing the marketing game. This is him sulking, and admitting defeat for the year.

I keep saying this..team 18 is off this year. He's won 56 races. A 2x champion. And they're having an off year. All the champs have off years. It happens, it's no big deal..finish the season strong, look to the positives, and get yourself mentally ready to accept the fact that you may go winless, it's okay, and move on to 2021.

I said this yesterday, Kyle may be the second best ever at Bristol..he's one of the best ever..we know his talent..him not getting around Harvick is just shocking.

Getting closer.
I can count on one hand the number of people who know Kyle and actually like him. He's a hard dude to like. And there are things he does that ruffle plenty of feathers throughout the entire system, including Toyota's and Coach's. He is where he is because he wins. The first season he has where he doesn't win any races will likely be his last. There are that many people waiting to drop the guillotine.

But he did get around Harvick but couldn't keep the lead. In other words his car wasn't good enough and you can't blame other teams because you didn't bring a good enough car.

It's pretty obvious to me anyway, that everybody and their little dog too knew his TV interview (calm Kyle) was B.S. Pockrass saw his opportunity to make news in the required media session that KDB has to go to by asking a few questions. The other pressers would be saying Pocrass ddin't have a hair on his ass if he didn't ask those questions. Kyle had a choice to be calm Kyle or regular Kyle. Pockrass served it up, and KDB smacked it out of the park.

He simply doesn't have it in him. He is who he is. Some people either like it or can look past it. Most of us are turned off by it.
He reminds me of Rusty Wallace. Might be before your time. Douche-canoes act like douche-canoes. Rusty was blisteringly fast and just as arrogant. I was a Bill Elliot/Mark Martin/Alan Kulwicki/Harry Gant/Burton Bros etc, fan. Guys that raced hard, didn't take much **** off anyone but also didn't whine like a baby when **** went wrong.

That's what I like about Chase, he doesn't whine he just goes out and beats them the next week.

I have a hard time seeing why anybody would dislike chase, he seems like a great young guy with real talent. My anti establishment personality would never allow me to be an ardent fan of anyone so insanely popular, but I hold him no ill will. He's a lot like Jimmie personality wise.

I hope we don't have another era where the schedule and types of races in the chase makes one driver superior.

Yet....here you are.

He hasn't had a lot of "next weeks" but I get what you mean...kind of. Giving a guy the finger on national television is kind of like winning....I can't remember if he won the next week or not.

Why do we care what a driver has to say that hasn't won a race all year? Unless you count racing against the little guys. :)

You tell me. I think you know.

Totally disagree. This is him saying that the question about how he will do in the next round is stupid. Everybody has seen the performance this year, and everybody has their own theories. Kyle can't feel good about the next round, but he knows the potential of his team, so, who the hell knows? Sulking? Absolutely. That is what he does. Admitting defeat? No, I think that he has more respect for Adam and his guys to throw in the towel.....and now I wait for @StandOnIt to fire off a litany of sound bites and quotes of Kyle cussing out his cc and crew....So many here bite on what Kyle says while internally I doubt that the people around him that matter have even read his comments.

you can't blame other teams because you didn't bring a good enough car.

...and Kyle did say that because it is true. I think the driver of the 4 has something to do with it as well. Having said that, I have come to the conclusion that the driver of the 22 really likes playing the part of the dick. The difference between Kyle and Joey in my opinion is that one runs his mouth and the other rests on his smiley douchey persona. The 22 needs a bumper in his ass as soon as possible. He confuses hard driving with being a complete ass. It's old.

Yet....here you are.
Now I feel like a broken record explaining this twice. I don't pay any attention to what KB says because when he doesn't win I already pretty much know that he is usually going to say something unpopular that the majority of fans on here are not going to like, but what he says has never bothered me in any way. I'm just kind of surprised that so many fans are still that surprised or concerned when he does say something unpopular. Now as far as me being on this thread, it is not to talk about Kyle Busch it is just to read all of the posts of other people talking about Kyle Busch because I enjoy doing that. And as my post number 9 points out, I thought I was in the race thread when I made my initial comment in post 7 which is the one you sarcastically commented on.

He is fantastic for the sport and I’m glad the fanbase has a heel. Talent and entertainment will be a loss to the sport when he retires.

I definitely agree with that. He has been very good for this sport and he gets the fans blood pumping. I still remember when I first joined this forum a zillion years ago he won the race that day and I made a comment congratulating him and a certain poster here went berserk and called me every name in the book. I knew right then I was going to love this place. Come to think of it I think he is the one that started this thread.:D

If you haven’t been cursed at by @AndyMarquisLive you aren’t doing Racing-Forums correctly.

Kyle's grown on me. I watch racing to be entertained and he entertains me.

His interviews are comedy gold.
