Deegan update

I also like that there are no glamour shots of her. Just the truck
 
Yeah, but if had been Danica, she probably would have been sprawled across the hood in a bikini. Great to see Flat Rock Speedway. I only got there once, as it came off the ARCA schedule after my first year. I've got the left door of the car hanging on the wall of my garage. Ex-Petty Grand Prix.
 
I liked the “Professional Driver. Closed Course” while the truck is shown doing the burnout and running around the speedway.

Thing is, everything she's saying is same as Danica said. These guys will kill themselves before they let her succeed. It will NOT get any better. Andy will be along shortly talking about how she deserves it all because she isn't afraid to use the front bumper occasionally. No problem with guys doing the same though.

And to be clear, I hold my nose when viewing any of their stuff. REALLY don't like that family. Her brother was taking bites of food then putting the food back. In a pandemic. It's just the flu, amiright? I fast forwarded thru the video till the racing part after that. Only time I want to hear a word from them. YMMV. Don't take any wooden nickels. Dry between your toes. And STAY OFF MY LAWN!!!
 
So how long before she starts getting trashed like Danica did? Deegan has great equipment but has one top ten and a **** load of torn up equipment in the Double A of NASCAR. I'm rooting for her to do well even though she said the best day of her life was when Donald Dump signed her helmet.

Probably when she drives like Danica did in comparison and starts bouncing off of everything like a ping pong ball. 1st year in the trucks without practice or qualifying. Seems kind of premature and frankly pretty goofy to be wanking on her this early in the game. Patience, wait until next year before she grows a crop of decent haters instead of these hysterical off the wall ones. :punkrocke

The difference between her and Danica is that Deegan is coming up the same way that everyone else did, rather than using her money and gender as a means to skip to the Cup Series and then flounder without consequences. If Danica still had sponsorship money she’d still be racing today, he results never mattered.

For what it’s worth, Deegan actually has results in a stock car. She may or may not be talented enough for Cup but she’s doing well with what she’s been in. Shes only 20 years old. It’s way too early to know much about her predicted career.

Yeah, I don't think anybody in the Ford or Monster organizations think she will be vying for the title her first year, but R-F is a different story. Truck drivers like rookie Hocevar are rare birds. Run as best as she can, try to keep the fenders on it and sell Fords and Monster drinks. The last couple of weeks have been nightmares, nobody likes getting wrecked out by nothing they did for it to happen. I think people who are invested in her driving career know that. These aren't Joe's corner service sponsors.

9:40 her spotter is yelling low low and she went down clipping the guy behind her.
Could he have let up more and let her in? Yes but rookies looking for rides don't do that.

If you watch the last video, her complaints are mostly about how early in a race you start rooting & gouging. For anyone that doesn't believe she is gonna get leaned on more than others you are lying to yourself. Men don't want to get beat by a woman. It's THAT simple. That's our society.

That’s the same complaint that every driver makes when they get wrecked early. She’s not the first driver to get beat around in the opening laps and she wont be the last.

“It’s way too early to be racing like that and it’s a shame for our team”.

Hell, Jeb Burton said this exact thing in last week’s Xfinity race when he got put 4 wide and wrecked.

It’s not a gender thing and often times the demand for bigotry exceeds the supply.
 
Eh, I think in this case she was just blowing off steam after a crappy race outcome. How many drivers have a camera on them in the hauler when they just got thru getting wrecked out. None that I have seen. I think her only threat was that she was going to quit being courteous. That's B.S. IMO, they all race like they are on fire in the truck races.

You can poo poo it all you want, but history would seem to indicate otherwise. I saw it as a teenager at the local short track, I saw it first hand in ARCA, I saw it with Danica, I think you can see it with Deegan, and we heard from no less than Ricky Rudd about the attitude Janet Guthrie had to deal with. It's no united effort, but it seems otherwise level headed male drivers turn into real "A-holes" when there is a female driver around them. Look at the crap Paul Tracy tried to blow at Deegan after the one SRX race. I saw Deborah Renshaw get completely ostracized in the ARCA garage because she was involved in the crash that killed Eric Martin, even though what happened was largely not her fault, certainly she was less at fault than Kerry Earnhardt was in Blaise Alexander's fatal crash, which NOBODY talks about. I doubt most of them could even articulate their feelings on the matter, but the minute they are actually faced with the possibility of getting passed by a woman, they get all bent out of shape, and turn into mini "Intimidators". If the women retaliate in kind though, they are "stupid bitches that can't drive".

Bigotry then doesnt equal bigotry now, and anecdotal evidence is bunk. Also, Paul Tracy is a tool. He gave **** to everyone but you point out Deegan? Sounds kinda sexist.

Let's see your evidence that it's all kum by ya now days and everybody loves everybody. BTW I read Janet Gutherie's book. And we still have fans that are bumed out because they can't fly their confederate flag at the races (boo the hell out of Bubba) so don't give me that B.S. that times have changed

When Danica Patrick was taken out by other drivers, sometimes on purpose, people constantly **** on her and said she wouldn't be involved in wrecks if she was good enough.

I was actually watching the truck race and Deegan was, what, 15th? 17th? Around the same position she's been all year? How's that top-10?

"She's only 20" ... and she's running with people who are younger than her, and she's been racing on asphalt for over six years now.

At some point, she's got to produce results ... and not just a fluke top-10 finish. Danica had some of those as well ... in Cup no less.

What pavement car/class was she running at 13? I am serious. Have no idea.
 
Lost in translation here, is Deegan is not about $$$$. Her goal is a cup win. Shes not gonna set back and collect sponsor dolla bills without results. Shes a Deegan - they want to win, its in her blood.
