Dover Pre-Race Thread

Sundays start moved back to 1 pm, not that I think it changes much

Currently in Elkton Maryland an hour Northwest

Would make a hellova lot more sense to just push to Monday as that looks 100% inevitable. 90% chance of rain from 6am-6pm Sunday

Someone needs to get Bowyer a damn coffee. Guy has like no energy in the booth. Someone hire Rusty away from radio ASAP

Anyone see Gragson's new haircut? Nice bowl cut, thanks to losing a bet to Austin Dillon. And yes, it looks as ridiculous as it sounds.

Cup qualifying cancelled, Busch is on the pole and his car was terrible in practice, Bell is beside him and it wasn't any better. The start of the race should be interesting.

When they get a full practice in is that reflected in the metric if qualifying cancelled

Looking at the hourly for tomorrow from 1-4 it has above 60% but totals of like 0.03 to 0.06 inches but around 5 it jumps up the amount. So it will probably be raining enough to be annoying that it won't stop or stop enough to start to dry and than dampen again

If I had tickets I wouldn’t even leave my house. No way anything happens tomorrow.

Damp and misty at the track, seems to be what the morning will be. Slight gap in the radar around 1 but still not confident

Based on the 9:40 am forecast for Dover it is looking like a Monday race. I am thinking it will be postponed early this afternoon.

This is the gap they are aiming for

They didn’t even try!! Totally kidding. Pretty obvious nothing would have happened today. Tomorrow looks much better.

Bummer man...NASCAR really needs to take seasonal weather patterns into more consideration when making the early season schedule next season. Atlanta in mid-March? Bristol in early April? No bueno.

This race needs to move back to June.

Three of the last four Spring races have been rained out. (2019, 2022, 2023)
I've went since 2000, and with late May Early June 2007 was the only spring race that was a Monday. Heck I'd take August or September

I used to go to the fall race.

I liked going to Dover more than Richmond, even though Richmond was closer. Racing was better and the facilities were way better. Plus all the restaurants and the mall all within walking distance.
