Johali's rate the Cup race --- Kansas

9.75. Might have been a 10 had we gotten a photo finish. But someone took care of that.

8.0. The last of the second stage and most of the third were a drag on the rest of it. This combination of car and track deserved better.

25 gazillion. Hell yes Denny! Best car won. FREAKING LOVE THIS!!!!!!

He had to wreck Larson to win it but sure best car won.
Larson was everywhere that lap. He bounced off of the wall and into Denny who gave him 0 room because he shouldn't have in that situation. Denny was setting up a last corner pass, but Larson was mirror driving the **** out of him. Nobody had anything for MY Toyotas on the long run. Period.

Keep the same energy when it happens to a Toyota driver

10. Action throughout and a classic green flag run to the title. Some of the best 30 final laps I’ve ever seen

Easy 9. This car is awesome at the 1.5's, which proves NASCAR knows what they are doing every now and then.

It could have been a 9.5 if Denny knew how to pass cleanly. Yeah, I'm a Hendrick homer and a Denny hater, and as good as that finish was, I feel like it would have been even better if Denny passed Larson clean (which he could have if he were just a little more patient, IMO). But it's the last lap and they are going for the win, so even though it's kind of a hack move, it's whatever. Can't be too mad about it. And Larson put his elite talent to work and recovered for a 2nd place finish, so I'm not losing sleep over it. Good hard racing.

On top of that, it could have been a 9.75 if the folks on pit road would have allowed Ross and Noah to duke it out. Yeah, that would have been worth another quarter-point bonus in my book. Gragson and his three stooges haircut shouldn't be putting his hands on anyone when he's six laps down and running himself into the wall, so even though Chastain is everyone's whipping boy and never gets the benefit of the doubt, I really can't blame him for throwing the first lick in this case. Noah is lucky he didn't get knocked out, and they are both lucky the "fight" got stopped before it even started. But from a fan's perspective, it certainly would have been fun to watch. The security peons and PR stooges need to just step back and let it play out.
