All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Pre-Race Thread

All Star Friday was a blast. $70 to park a mile and a half from the track is robbery, but it is what it is. Got in and out no issues, but Sunday night will definitely be a s*** show.
I'm curious how much Sundays tickets are and how much the parking you had on Friday will be?

I’m anxious to hear people’s experiences today since it was almost totally full

T
I have a friend who's been there every time the gate is opened. Hoping she will post some stuff on her page and I'll post it here.
Thanks. I’ve accepted that Monday morning is going to suck no matter what. 🤣

Feel bad for those attending now. There’s almost no shelter at the track. Don’t have the huge concourses of say Charlotte.

Dunno if there's been a post about this yet or not but if not, then OK, I'll say it.

The All-Star race needs to become a fixture at North Wilkesboro and marketed like MLB's Field of Dreams with the limited seating that now exists.

Bust out the throw-back schemes there instead of Darlington and seek old-time sponsors for that one event to complete the look.

:lurk:

Yes it should be at NW. No it does not need additional items attached (like throwbacks or race segment gimmicks).

I love he format today. Nice to have an all star race where the format isn't the story. Hasn't been like that in literally 20 years at this point.

I think high-heeled some card girls doing the manual scoreboard similar to the card girls between boxing rounds would also be wonderful.

That would be awesome. I wouldn't mind having a Rockingham once is a while also.

I wish they would incorporate the NASCAR Hall of Fame stuff with this race week like the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game.

Okay, so some last minute advertising on Twitter. Didn't see it since I don't do Twitter.
Did see Fox air some commercials for some of the other races - to be shown on cable channels that not everybody subscribes to. Again, didn't see these advertisements until a few days before those races were run.

Saw nothing - and still see nothing - about any future racing after the All Star weekend.
Went to the track's web site this morning - no mention of any future racing. It does have a video that they call a summary of the event... it mostly shows fans, and it shows almost none of the racing...

Even Dale Jr. is admitting that he is disappointed. I hope he keeps pounding anyway - this could be a one-and-done if promoters don't keep up their work and allow people to forget...

North Wilkesboro apparel seems to be quite popular
