Cup RACE thread --- 600

I have to read the politics section of Reddit on a fairly regular basis because I have clients who insist on responding to social media trends. It's absolute bottom of the barrel discussion. You'll see posts with hundreds of upvotes but wholly inaccurate information. It's the same for any variety of fields.
Twitter is so bad now too. Especially because the new version encourages the worst behaviors, rewards anonymity and punishes credentials.

local ones do. Best burger I’ve had in my life, came from a local burger joint here

Food trucks are generally much better food.

They’re scrutinized much more heavily than restaurants, so their food is usually more sanitary.

Food is generally better closer to the source. Mom and pop restaurants and locally owned places (including food trucks and vendors) have THE best food hands down. Corporations can't imitate it.

I do remember when McDonalds tried offering lobster roles in New England. It was garbage.

There are places that prohibit local restaurants from getting locally sourced food though. One I helped out (managed their social media, did some DJ’ing) during COVID was required by law to purchase food frozen.

They are on here. I will say the community here is more intelligent than Twitter and Reddit.

Of course so is a damn feral cat.
It's true tho.gif

My favorite thing about the burgers, is that they aren’t ever the same size really, they ain’t never small but sometimes wow they are pretty damn big. Probably depends who’s cooking that day. But I don’t think they weigh them. They just grab a handful out some ground beef from what they are working with at that moment.

That is some backwards garbage. I couldn't imagine a seafood place in New England not using locally sourced seafood. You can't really know a place until you've had their food.

There’s a gas station in Duplin County that I stopped in on my way to South Carolina a few weeks ago. It was owned by a farm.

Place had straight fresh pork and veggies for sale, and the finest pork rinds I’ve ever eaten.

There's a race going on.

Speaking of lobsters, we have a drive thru lobster resturant opening soon, its a food truck that is doing it.

Yes, I am looking forward to trying it.

Champlin in Narragansett..Best seafood around. Right off their boats...

Who do we like in the "night" Xfinity race tonight? Gibbs and Allgaier were fast earlier with Chandler Smith looking decent too towards the end of their short run.

Gotta protect corporate interests.

I think it was because the place was technically a bar. But the majority of their crowd was families eating dinner.

I truly don't know how Larson is 3rd when they've had the hood popped twice. Did they just close it up and best the pace car repeatedly? Lol

A neat place to watch this race would be in that small grandstand on the back stretch coming out of 2 that looks to be for the campers up there
