And this guy pulls for Ty Gibbs and Denny without a shred of irony. (sorry Rev, feeling punchy today.)
Fair. Must be hard to know that your guy is going to miss this weekend. MY guys are there. Come on over and give the dark side a try!

And there it is

Josh Berry come on dowwwnnnnn
Josh has already driven the #5 this year. This doesn't help his Super Sub effort to drive all four HMS Cup cars in a single season. He needs Larson and Byron to step on their weenies.

Chase is my #1 driver and I agree with the penalty.
Interested to see what Corey does with great equipment.
Big opportunity for him.
Hendrick gave another driver a big opportunity in 1987 when he offered Jimmy Means the chance and Means qualified 5th for the Charlotte race. Means was taken out early early in an accident not of his making. The gesture by Hendrick is a generous one and a great opportunity for LaJoie and wish him the best in that he can provide a good finish. While Jimmy's opportunity faded, he continued to race for several more years with his independent team.

The ass chewing coming from Mr. The Smoke tomorrow at the shop is gonna be EPIC. To be a fly on the wall.

There is no way the 14 even makes it out of round 1 even if they manage to sneak a win. They’re so slow to start the race every single week and even with a win they’re AT BEST -18 playoff points. No way they’re gonna get 4-5 wins to even get back to 0.
Mr Smoke knew it before it was put on the car

Should a suspension mean automatic playoff ineligibility? A suspended driver misses a race for what appears to be an inexcusable reason.
If they want to do something like that they should make it a rule. Right now its not and the suspension is his penalty. Should they do it? I sure think it would stop those kind of paybacks

No, a driver shouldn’t be granted a waiver for an inexcusable action on the track IMO. Has a driver ever been granted 2 waivers in a single season?

Hes certainly going to get a second waiver, I’m not naive to that.

When did he drive the 5 car?

I am wishing Corey the best and I hope he has a career day. I am rooting for him the most today due to the stakes being so personally high for him.

But this is kind of one and done is tough. He very well could be tagged forever on today's performance. People may say well he had his chance and I think that is far to simple.

BuT iT’s ChAsE!!!!!!!!! (The post works because it’s what both sides cry)

It was a generic question. I certainly don't think NASCAR should change eligibility rules in the middle of the season. I'd love to see them do it for 2024.

If Patrick Mahomes got suspended 4 weeks for substance abuse in the middle of the season, you gonna tell him he can't play in the playoffs when he comes back? Hell no, and nobody would question it.

The guy got suspended and still has to win to even make it, which honestly is starting to seem more far fetched than it originally did.

Yeah, he’s not winning this year. And this forum as well as Reddit will rejoice. It is what it is. He has no one to blame but himself.

Unlike NASCAR drivers, Mahones isn't required by the rules to participate in every event in order to be eligible for playoffs, and doesn't need a waiver should he miss games.
