But it is long season with a lot of racing yet to be seen with all t
it's upcoming unknown points implications to navigate. No time to celebrate cause in the words of Jeff Burton every point matters.

As a PSA I do need to caution the expectations of a quite a few.

Not all but many sisters of our RF members are already sending me photos and auditioning to be one of my groupies in 2024. I want to just caution them that this is a long season and I am still one of the underdogs in this very tough league. While I have won in a countless number of other RF leagues, I have never even led at anytime in this one.

If one of your sisters is an apllicant please express my gratitude for their interest, I am truly touched. But please remind them that I will only be conducting a pagent and accepting three new groupies if I am able to win the league championship.

I am also moved by a few of my fellow RF members that are already actively auditioning to be one of my 2024 groupies. I do appreciate the ambitions of every applicant and some of the glamour shots are quite impressive. But please realze that I cannot accept an applicant from a fellow member.

If you are one of them and only taking those expensive chemicals in order to be one of my 2024 groupies please reconsider the cost of such an expensive impossibilty.

Hmm, it's not a bad pick when you consider how good he's been this year. He often has sneaky good runs here & there, it might pay off. IIRC, he has improved on road courses as well.

You're 8th in the standings with plenty of good drivers left, so that wheel has been good to you.
 
I will loose some positions with the Haley p21 pick, especially with almost everyone else in the top 10 having a better result. Seems like the top 10 or so is tighter or more competice than ever this year.

At least it wasn't a DNF.
 
Congratulations to @antman12 and @RayinTX for taking the "Highest Finishing Pick" award thanks to the fourth place finish of their pick, Chris Buescher, in the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway.

That's two consecutive races that @antman12 has taken that award.

The "Most Upward Movement" award went to @REBS31, who moved up four spots in the standings.

The first place position in the standings continues to be held by @Mr Excitement, the second consecutive race that he's occupied that spot.

The "Slipping & Sliding" award was taken by @ToyYoda, whose NO PICK resulted in his downward movement of seven positions.

Turns out, however, that @ToyYoda did in fact submit a pick but it was made well after the deadline and could not be accepted.

That pick was for Denny Hamlin and if it had been made on time it would have resulted in @ToyYoda being awarded the "Wiping Up The Rear" award.

So as it turns out @ToyYoda took one more point than if his pick had been made on time and he still has Hamlin left as a pick for a later race.

Thanks for saving me from myself.
 
This weeks happy little accident was me not hitting send after I asked to change my pick to McDowell.
I was soooo po'ed when he dropped from 3rd to 10th. LOL
I just opened my mailbox and there sat the message to change with the little cursor flashing at the end.

I don't know what's crazier, this or the fact that it's the second time that happens this year.
