NASCAR: Full Speed

****** loving this. LOVE THIS! Finally, the world can see this great sport.....and if they don't like it......**** 'em!

I just started it and only got about 10 minutes in but I'm loving it.

I'm only 1 episode in and I guess I'm in the minority here in saying I'm lukewarm on it. Yeah the camera work is great, but how they dumb down so many things kind of seems to insult anyone that is a regular fan. I'll keep watching for now

I watched the first three episodes last night, and thought it was great. I think they do a really good job of appealing to the hardcore NASCAR fan, casual race fan, as well as someone that has never seen a race in their lives. That's tough to balance but I think they nailed it.

I don't think it's dumbed down at all.

Wait until they start adding more drivers too. I got most of the way through episode three before needing to get some shuteye, and it's been the best episode yet.

This series does a great job showcasing the personalities in the sport, as well as showcasing the NASCAR experience.

I had to think about it for a minute because I wasn’t getting a Drive To Survive experience from it. Only having a passing knowledge of F1 made DTS interesting in a ”I didn’t know that” way. 30+ years of avid NASCAR fandom leaves me too informed to have the DTS experience. But that said, it’s VERY well done and could attract new fans to our sport (all good).

My big take away is Denny really likes the “F” word. So much so that with Kyle Busch having become more “likeable” it may be time to retire KFB and present that F to Denny making him DFH.

I think I have the same thing. My knowledge of F1 was minimal so DTS was good to me. Some parts of this are too geared towards a new fan for me.

Kyle Busch is only more likeable now because he drives a Chevy.

KFB moving to Rich Children Racing made him more unlikeable to me. That douchetastic douche in the #3 isn't unlikeable in any way and the unprofessional manner in which RC handled Tyler Reddick's departure and the whole Sheldon Creed situation was icing on the cake.

I don't think it is kosher at all to have a driver that gives an owner a years notice that he will be driving for the competition. Then he can trot his lame duck ass back and forth between two teams for a year like a spy for the competition. He needed the boot.

Kevin did one heck of a job for RCR during his lame duck year

I'd heard about Dennys house...but it is just nuts

I'm down with DFH.

I’m watching episode 1. It’s freaking awesome. Denny’s house is insanely amazing, super nice. I find the way Dale Jr is sitting when he’s interviewed, really uncomfortable….sitting on the floor doesn’t appeal to me

Jr also looks about 15 years older than he is for some reason.

Yea I’m just so used to him looking like it’s 2000-07. Time is a mf’er. He still looks youthful for approaching 50 though

I don't feel that he looks older than he is, but also consider that he smoked cigarettes and partied hard for years.

Jr looks his age, and 4K/HDR video is a huge difference.

We've NEVER had video this crisp and never had races in 4K. What people see of Jr, they're either used to when he was a driver or used to NBC Sports.

I've noticed that HDR, in my photos, can make someone look 10 years older.

He looks good for almost 50. The camera angles of the race are incredible, the camera work for the actual racing is neat some of which I have never seen that crisp and clear. I got through Episode 1 last night, hoping to complete everything by Sunday. I hope this series is a hit and Netflix/Dale Jr/Other producers give us a little bit more of a bigger sample size of the show throughout the entire season. I think this is going to be bring in some new fans

Netflix produces the heck out of sports docuseries

I’m really happy to see something like this that could get some new & younger eyeballs to check out the series. If it is a straightforward look at NASCAR I’d like to see it. If it’s like a reality thing I probably wouldn’t like it.

Enjoyed episode 3. Ross actually comes off as likeable to me and his portion of the episode was pretty neat. Blaney’s gf is a looker, and it was interesting to finally get to meet him in the series,he’s a cool dude. I want more, cant wait for episodes 4&5.

This is growing on me...I was OK with the first two and last night I watched and enjoyed #3. I really enjoy seeing more of the driver's personal lives and other behind the scenes like the race shops...especially since I already know whats gonna happen in the races. Years ago when Bootie Baker was Blaney's crew chief on the Jasper 77 we went to the shop...it was a very small shop. Bootie came over and talked to us and told us feel free to look around anywhere in the shop. Bootie also participated in an online forum with us Blaney fans. So, yep big Bootie fan.

I can see Dennis getting new fans from this.
Denny is a smart guy. He is building his fan base at 42....while people bitch about his podcast...which was featured.....while people bitch about his arrogance.....which was featured....while they bitch about his ownership....which was featured.....and where, may I ask was Kyle ****** Bush in the series? Nowhere. There was a void....Denny filled it. No wonder JGR resigned him at a price point agreeable to his value....where, in contrast....KFB brought nothing but his mouth and wrecked Next Gens.

Love the part when Denny explains that Air Speed has windows angled 23 degrees to the ground. That is Notre Dame end zone **** right there. Some may not like Denny, but he is a big player now. Big. I mean old Kyle couldn't hold onto a truck team, and Denny has the premier up and coming Cup team. That is something.

Hmm, What I got out of your last 2 posts was you like Denny and despise KDB. Give me a thumbs up if I got that correct. 😃
