Truck RACE thread --- Daytona

Rajah must have thought he was in an iRacing official this week there. Oof that was BAD

Pretty great on Bubba to pull Rajah aside.
I like Rajah a lot but man you can’t bush off taking out the whole field like that
I took it as Bubba saw the camera and tried to shield it from whatever he had to say. Rajah’s face looked like he was smiling until Bubba started talking then that went away real quick.

It's going to be a long week for him.

I like how Rick and Bubba pulled him to the side ASAP. Stuff like that can't continue, especially at this level with everything on the line. Nip it in the bud, learn, and keep going.

He'll be fine.

Fox Sports cameras of that crash. 👏

Filmed from the International Space Station and also simultaneously through the James Webb telescope so you could read the serial number on the tires.

I thought he was on the telephone with Hendrick.

Looked to me like he was trying to squeeze into the outside lane and didn't quite fit. You would think he would have said something in the interview had it went up on him.
You can call it like ya see it. Looks like he lost the front end to me and scored a third place finish.. :idunno:

To me it looked like Rajah thought Bubba was going to dap him up but that quickly changed when Bubba “grabbed” him (no malice) and turned to block the camera. Rajah is a hell of a talent and I really wanted him to break through tonight, but he messed up bad. I wonder if Corey’s push got him loose any…. (Grasping at straws here)

Just hung up from the boss. Didn't look to me like he was getting yelled at when he hung up with a smile on his face. :idunno:

You ever played a sport or had a coach? That’s generally how most ass chewings end up.

At least if the coach is worth a crap. Too many these days think they're Bobby Knight.

Some of the most influential people in my life to this point have been the ones who chewed my ass the most growing up. One of my hs football coaches, and the boss I had as I worked my way through college. I’ve cussed them both until I was red in the face but they made me who I am today

Well, given the wild night and racing, I give Rajah kudos for driving a good race. He was reasonably smooth most of the night and had some fine recoveries from near spins via being pushed or bumped. The last lap was a bit aggressive but he was also being pushed during the sequence. Daytona truck racing success is a lot of luck, survival and tricky recoveries.

That truck race was very entertaining for me. Checked a lot of the
boxes that make for an intriguing motorsports event. Glad all
gladiators appeared unhurt.

Didn’t look like LaJoie was connected to Rajah’s bumper through the exit of the corner. Possible that he was reacting to Heim getting a run on the outside and just a really bad instance of mirror driving.

It’s just a really bad package right now that needs fixed A.S.A.P. somehow. My god these half-wits can learn to run clean.

i want Rajah to succeed badly, but come on guys. The tripping over themselves people are doing to defend it is interesting. Imagine if Denny, Ross, Chase, or Kyle Busch did that same move in the 500. The pitchforks and torches would be out big time.
