I give it a fat 2. The winner leads all but 1 lap. The "soft" tire had little fall off once the sun went down. Maybe now the newer fans (those that came in after '96) will realize North Wilkesboro never has been a good track.

Looked like there was some good racing throughout the field, the bits and pieces we got to see. Fox gonna Fox though.

Not surprised that there was little fall off on the reds vs. the primaries because it's fresh pavement.

I give the race a 5.

7. As Andy said, fresh pavement isn’t gonna produce tire wear. It’s a very difficult place to pass as well due to its configuration. It’s almost like a square racing line

Track was really wide and racey for a repave and the race was way more competitive than last year’s. Bring a full daytime points race here with 2x as much traffic and 20-30F hotter track temp and things probably get really fun. All-star events are whatever these days anyways.

7. I had fun and was entertained, I mean those fellas were working it trying to pass

6... the track is better than it used to be back in the day. That progressive banking seems to help. Much better track for Super Late Models... trucks were better than the cup I think. But I always think the trucks are better.

3. Such as shame because the trucks showed the track has potential for good racing and you could move around. Time to beat the "this new car" dead horse again.

Nah. Trucks had a whole field and Cup did not. Makes a difference
