The smart thing to do would probably be SVG… but, so many people probably will pick him that, it would be hard to gain on anyone.. but on the flip side…you can’t lose much ground either. Got to think about this one ha.

All in favor of a blanket SVG pick to freeze the standings for a week say I

Dang man, I’ve submitted all my picks for the season already and I can’t change things up now. But if the rest of you want to do it, that could really help me out if he has issues.

No, thanks.

One small mistake between the concrete barriers and he finishes at the back. Auto racing can be a cruel beyotch. Picking some else is what this game is all about. 😎

I turn 31 on Friday. Let's see if my pick gives me a good birthday present this weekend. We all know who the most popular pick will be. The standings leader already used said driver, which will make things interesting.

I thought about it, but I’ve already used Haley, Allmendinger, Cindric, KB, Denny etc, so I’m thinking it may be time to go with the safe pick and “race the race track” this week instead of the competition.
One less c driver I have to use later if I just hold my place doing so.
The game does come down to averages etc instead of just one week. I’ll take a likely good points day with how unpredictable Chicago is.

Race the track first and only worry about the competition after you have mastered the first part.

As for the Pick 'em contest,
Make the best picks you can regardless of how you think others will pick. It is as simple as trying to have the best average for the year. Do it well enough and nothing else will matter.

Well, that's a good idea, like the idea of a perfect lap. Making 36 perfect picks for every race is impossible, but it is fun trying.

There’s a lot of players yet to pick SVG. Honestly, it seems like a no-brainer to take him, but there will definitely be players going a different direction. I’ll go so far as to say there’s a 99% chance I pick him here next season.

I have a feeling people overthink and pass on going with SVG. I foresee lots of Haley picks today.

Yes! All I need is for the 99 to get back out there. Major implications

So at least we’re doing credit for stage points this week right?
:p :):p

Right?
:rolleyes::rolleyes:

:rolleyes:o_O:(

Sure as s#*+ it all goes to poo with the rain. But there is a lot more race. Can McDowell make it a big dent for us?

Oh well, for the other 20 souls who, with myself, had a winner…until we didn’t….

In the immortal lyrics of Billy Joel’s Goodnight Saigon:

“And we would all go down together
We said we'd all go down together
Yes we would all go down together”

NO THANKS to Chase Briscoe…..

New Voodoo Doll targets listed in order of potential points implications.

- McDowell
- Austin Hill
- Haley
- Surez
- Cindric
- Truax Jr
- Hocevar

And this is why I laugh when people do this kind of thing.

16 people picked him here last year and it worked to perfection. It was looking good again, just very narrowly in the wrong place at the wrong time this year.
People were chasing success from last year. Every race is different obviously but it’s a slippery slope picking a guy that had success in a race previously, especially when we all knew that most playing this game were gong to pick him this year

I knew the potential for disaster was there, but the guy only runs limited races and he was fast. When the rain came on, my fears were increased that someone else would wreck him. Sure enough….

We were 1 chase briscoe move away from it working. I called an audible last minute and changed my pick cuz my dad always told me the sun don’t shine on the same frogs ass everyday
