Trying to watch Cars at Hickory on Flo. I believe the show opening has been going for more than 2 hours. No rain. No "delay". Just insanely long prerace crap. Guys are getting in cars which have been staged on front straight for at least an hour. I do have it muted so maybe no ambulance or something. But been doing driver intros for 30-45 minutes. IDK if this is their regular routine tho.

Well they finally started the engines. Think 266 laps?
 
IDK what they doing with laps. Some sort of weirdness with title of race. Just ran Sportsman I think? Next is the actual Cars.

EDIT: 125 laps for CARS.
 
What a drive by McKee in the pro late models. Lost the lead on that last restart and took it right back. A lot of drivers would’ve lost their cool in that situation. Great driving by Heim too. That kid is gonna be a star.
 
The kid that won the Pro Late Model turned 14. Today. 😳

That kid is insanely cool and mature for his age. I’m 46 and would have melted down if that happened to me in iRacing, much less real life.

So I equated Pro Late Model to Super Late Models and the Late Models as… well… late models. Do I have it backwards?

Butter bean drives 2 races for Toyota in the truck series and getting the cry baby syndrome. He had Connor Hall jacked up around Langley all race long a couple weeks ago and upset because tyrell moved him on the last lap

Tyrell has a habit of moving people but butterbean knows better

A frantic 25 laps with numerous lead changes ends with Conner Jones in the lead after Butterbean wrecked Ryan Millington.

I definitely think the new Hoosier ST2 tire has a lot to do with it. There's just not the type of falloff as there is with the F45. On top of that, multiple tracks have been repaved in the past couple years and there hasn't been anything resembling a winter in North Carolina this decade, so those surfaces aren't aging.

The lack of respect from young drivers stems from Legends racing. Too many of those guys learn to race at Summer Shootout where they divebomb corners and drive through people to get wins and positions.

Fortunately, Danny WIllard does not put up with that nonsense and the series does do a good job of officiating the racing as best they can. Three different drivers were penalized for dumping the leader at Ace.
