Best finish last week was @pjmolo
lost in the results was my 9th
and a few other good runs
now it's time to turn up the heat
end result should be a few wins
you know the drill.

Happy Race Day! My second son was born today, so I’ll viewing tonight’s race from the hospital. It’s Bristol Baby!

Congratulations to long time Pick 'Em Game player and 2-Time Game Champion, @Jorge De Guzman, upon the arrival of the newest addition to his family, a baby boy.

Not sure if "Bristol" is an acceptable name for a boy so how 'bouts he name the feller after the winner of tonight's race.

Kaz De Guzman might work.

Thank you all for the kind words and I’ve been asked his name, we went with Giovanni. Gio. Bristol, Dale, Kimi, Aryton, Schumacher, Kyle and Gordon were all considered. Good luck to our title contenders in the game tonight and I hope once the visitors leave, I’ll be able to schmooze with the rest in the Race Thread.

Only when I pick him would Kyle Busch finish 25th at Bristol

Two savage beatings in two weeks. Allmendinger’s transaxle and Truex’s speeding penalty. Both from the front of the field.

Gonna be tough to go out to the shop in the morning to finish the prep on the Kansas car. 💵🐶🤬

So much for sneaking into the top 10. This was a race I actually expected a decent finish from. Next week, I'd be lucky to get a top 30, especially after what I saw from this junk team this week. That's right, Dillon's my guy for Kansas. 😞

Historically, for some reason, I put together some nice performances during the last 10 races in this game. I've finished top 5 in the final standings 3 times, I believe.

The outlier for me was 2022. I stunk it up that year, it was awful.

@pjmolo has 5 A and B drivers with 7 races left and a whooping 59-point lead after Bristol. He pretty much has the championship in the bag barring some crazy bad luck.
My math ain't mathing though. I know I started in 2019, but I'm pretty sure this is my 5th year playing this game. :owquitit:

Congratulations to @Spotter22, @LewTheShoe, and @Old 97, the recipients of the "Highest Finishing Pick" award following the first place finish of their pick, Kyle Larson, in the Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The "Most Upward Movement" award was taken by @REBS31 as the fourth place finish of his pick, Denny Hamlin, enabled him to gain three positions in the standings and a spot in the Top Ten.

The "Slipping & Sliding" award was anything but "choice" for it's recipient as the 36th place finish of Corey LaJoie caused @Clutch to drop five spots and out of a Top Ten position in the standings.

The "Top Five" club remained unchanged but saw @Spotter22 continue in his recovery from the ineligible pick at Atlanta and gain another position in the standings with his pick of the race winner.

A monumental pit road speeding penalty ruined any chance that Martin Truex Jr. had of winning the Cup Championship and his miserable finish served as a major kick in the ass to @aunty dive who, after a strong push towards the top of the standings, has seen his picks finish 36th and 24th in the last two races.

Of note is that in seven out of the last eight races at least one player has picked the winner of the race.

Not too shabby, although there's always one guy in the crowd that's not impressed.
