Pete Rose, that's sad. Great player and should be in HOF. He played hard and I don't care about his gambling. It had nothing to do with the way he played.

I would have preferred something like making him wait 10 additional years to be added to the HoF and banning him from ever managing or playing again. But he still would have made it into the HoF.

Agreed. He should be in the Hall, just as Bonds, McGwire, Clemens, and so on should. The HoF should be more about objective measures of greatness and less a club rife with politics.

I don't think there was a player who loved baseball as much as Pete. Not letting him in the hall is a crime. Rest in Peace Hall of Famer.
