Does anyone have the specifics as to his disqualification? Have heard conflicting information. One is due to tire inflation, the other is due to suspension adjustments. Supposedly the car passed prerace inspection, so what changed? Was he involved in a vehicular incident that might have changed things? Like a hard drop from the track to the shoulder? The height was so marginal that it did not take much.

Did they take a turn too many out of a jacking bolt?

Can you elaborate on this? Do these cars have adjustable torsion bars?
They utilize adjustable coil springs. Teams are able to “tighten” jacking bolts to increase pressure on individual springs … increases load on that corner. While that’s happening, the ride height of the chassis goes up very slightly with each “round” applied. Taking rounds out has the opposite effect.

There are also wedge and cross-weight consequences but that’s a different discussion.
