Having trashed the ouija board that caused @ol'whatshisname to select 33rd place finisher Chase Elliott at Las Vegas, for the Homestead-Miami race he decided to finally succumb to the season long voice in his head of a childish Austin Dillon, as if a boy were hoping to get chosen in a school yard game, that repeatedly whispered "pick me, pick me."

Oh, my … 😎

At this point, I hafta’ say my pick’s been in since Monday. The commissioner can verify.

My guy may have qualified second. Fast in practice and fast in qualifying, so I’m expecting a 30th place finish out of him.

The 3 players who still hadn't used Austin Dillon, all selected him for this race.

This is a huge opportunity for us chasing down the leaders.

I'm going with William Byron for this race. I'm hoping they find some speed, not a good qualifying session for him.

Game management is currently investigating the apparent leak of certain player picks to an unauthorized entity.

Severe retribution is to be expected. :boxing:

I mean, at least my pick cost himself a good finish, instead of getting sideswiped by a spinning vehicle, like what happened last week. This just ain’t my year. Maybe I’ll take another year off, really dig into the game and figure out just what the strategy is. Or maybe, like I said before, I’ll just let my cat make my picks for me.

Congratulations to @LewTheShoe and @Truex_rox , the recipients of the "Highest Finishing Pick" award following the first place finish of their pick, Tyler Reddick, in the Straight-Talk Wireless 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

The streak of the race winner having been picked by at least one player of the game has now reached ten consecutive races, including twelve out of the last thirteen.

However, the impressive streak of Top Ten picks by @Magicmiler came to an end, along with his chances of the game's championship, when his pick, Kyle Busch, was only able to bring his buggy home to a 31st place finish.

The "Most Upward Movement" award was shared by @LewTheShoe and @Clutch as they each gained three positions in the standings to put both of them within striking distance of a tenth place finish for the season.

The "Slipping & Sliding" award was taken by @ToyYoda when he dropped four positions in the standings after his pick, Justin Haley, limped to the finish a lap down in 34th place.

The "Top Five" club remained unchanged for the seventh consecutive race but standings leader @ol'whatshisname continued to see his lead over the second position dwindle no thanks to the 25th place finish by his pick, Austin Dillon.

As a result of Dillon's finish (which also severely impacted @aunty dive) and the third place finish by Denny Hamlin, picked by @Spotter22 and @dirtfan, the 2024 NASCAR Pick 'Em game looks to have a Championship Four type finish in the two remaining races.
Hang on to your hats, boys and girls, 'cause the game has heated up unlike ever before and, as we all know, it ain't over 'till it's over. :puffin:

This is gonna be fun!

Top 6 have a realistic shot to win. Where I’m at, you 6 are having all the fun

I also have to say, Clutch picking AJ on a non road course is so unconventional and then finishing 8th, that caught my eye.
