MLB Playoffs 2024

Judge needs to figure out how to do literally anything at the plate, and fast. Just putting the ball in play would be a start.
 
Bringing out Jeter for the opening pitch was a classy move. The man had a great and brilliant career, one of the all time greats.

Still the same "Damn the Yankees"; I hope they lose it in four games and that it will be painful to all their fans.

I am not a fan the Dodgers either, this is all about the pure wonderful and glorious hatred of the New York Yankees .

Sure seems like it. It was critical to win Game 1, you can’t afford to lose Cole outings. And with the way that game ended it feels like the Yankees just aren’t playing well emotionally.

The Dodgers’ biggest question mark was starting pitching and they’ve answered it definitively. At least the Mets pushed them to 6, but I don’t see how you beat this team the next several years.

Agreed for the WS but the Red Sox did overcome a 3 game deficit in the 2004 ALCS (against the Yankees).
 
The Yankees live to play another day. I wonder if this turns into a series now. I'd still favor the Dodgers in Game 5, but this one definitely got away from them.

Things get interesting if the Yanks can win with Cole on the mound tomorrow. Hopefully this night was the catalyst for the bats to get hot.

This reminds me of the time when Granny threw her dentures at Jeff Gordon and everybody got all worked up and needed to change out their dirty underwear.

It is just a race...
well duh huh!
it was just one of grannies' dentures and none of the unflossed pieces of KFC debri or snuff drippings infected Gordon, or at least there are no reports that he was contaminated.

People laughed at her and and they didn't help her one bit after her insurance refused to cover her lost denture plate.

She also had to change churches because so many people giggled during prayer request time when her financial need was mentioned along with an explanation of the cause for the crisis. The whole thing split up the church with some leaving due to all the constant giggling anytime Granny was present or mentioned.
And Gordon still refuses to take any of her phone calls.

Now all of the uppity people will be targeting the eager Yankee fans. They shouldn't hit the ball to them if they dont like it...
 
Dramatic stuff. Easier to appreciate as a dispassionate observer who doesn't root for either team. If the Yankees lose they certainly gave this one away.
 
“Choke” is an overused term in sport but the Yankees fully choked this game away. Fielding arguably cost them Game 1 as well. There’s just no excuse for that at this level.

The Dodgers outplayed them, hopefully Freddie gets MVP. He deserves it in a big way.
