I used all my ammunition in the past two races, earning a disappointing result with Larson, who finished 11th. Byron got me a 6th place finish.

Now, my championship hopes hinge on Daniel Suarez and Erik Jones. I'm going to need a ton of luck. Realistically, a top 5 finish in the final standings looks to be the best-case scenario.

You still have put together a good and very respectable season.

Thank you! You've done pretty good yourself. In this game I'm checkers or wreckers. I either finish top 5 in the final standings (4 times including this year) or almost dead last (2022).

I even hold the record for most points without a NO-PICK or Ineligible, when I scored 740 points in 2022.

I’m so envious of those still running for the championship this year, there’s nothing like a making Martinsville Pick Em pick with the title on the line. Have fun with this to those still in it!

Dang, the chances of winning this championship are very slim
and I don't have many good drivers left
now my goal is to finish in the top 5
inside will be the preferred line for this race
especially since it's a short track
let's see what happens.

Mathematically you're still in the running but good luck overcoming a 54 point deficit with 5 players between you and first place, as it would seem to be next to impossible.

Love your enthusiasm.

It makes running the game worth the time and effort.

If I didn’t make my picks ahead of time and waited till practice and qualifying, Truex would have been an obvious pick. I got lucky (or so I thought) with him being fastest in practice snd qualifying. Long story short, I just realized that I wouldn’t do any better waiting till qualifying is over than I did this year with submitting all my picks ahead of time.

I still have faith in you, Daniel! Plenty of racing left. He was 14th at the time of the incident.

I tried to avoid picking LaJoie as long as possible and it came back to kick me in the ass. Corey LaJoie is the devil. 🤣 Maybe Blaney will give me a chance to finish in the top 10 at Phoenix.

Spotter22 - 493 Next Pick Blaney
Aunty Dive- 494 Next Pick Byron ?
PJmolo- 495 Next Pick Larson ?
Dirt- 504 Next Pick Busch ?

The fact that all four players have different drivers makes it even more interesting.

I think @Spotter22 and @aunty dive are in the catbird seat, as they're the only ones of the Final Four who will use a driver competing for the championship.

However, we know unexpected things can happen. Busch will be looking for blood next week to try and keep his streak alive. Larson is the best in the business, you can never count him out.

It's going to be fun watching how it plays out, any of the four left have a shot to win it all.

Also, worth noting that @DC76 is technically still mathematically in it. It's unlikely that he'll have a chance, but wow 5 players with a shot to win it all in the finale.

4 players separated by only 11 points is wild...

For what its worth, I just talked to some of my people and this is gonna blow up. NASCAR is pizzed off!

And yes, Byron should go to the back on Sunday without a final four spot.
I was on the fence after the race but after hearing in car radio transmissions they should take Byron out and put Larson in. Hate it for Byron because as far as we know, no communication from them was captured. I cannot believe these idiots are broadcasting this where everyone, INCLUDING NASCAR can hear it. Word is the Manufacturers are behind this

I am a Larson fan but I don't want it to happen this way.
I think the putting Larson in option, that ship has sailed and now we are gonna be looking at penalties and suspensions + fines.

As the dust has apparently finally settled . . . .

Congratulations to @aunty dive, @Magicmiler, and @superchuck500, the recipients of the "Highest Finishing Pick" award following the first place finish of their pick, Ryan Blaney, in the Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Speedway.

It's now been eleven consecutive races that at least one player has picked the winner of the race.

The hottest players in the game are currently @LewTheShoe, @Spotter22, and @Truex_rox as they have each picked a Top 10 finishing driver in each of the last four races.

The "Most Upward Movement" award was shared by @LewTheShoe, @Greg, and @hmmm298 when the Top 10 finishes of their picks enabled each of them to gain three positions in the standings.

The "Slipping & Sliding" award was taken by @Blaze after his pick, Harrison Burton, finished next to last which resulted in @Blaze dropping five positions in he standings.

Meanwhile, with one race remaining in the season, the game's Championship is up for grabs as four players, @Spotter22, @aunty dive, @dirtfan, and @ol'whatshisname are clustered at the top of the standings with only eleven points separating them.

In 2022 @Spotter22 and @Head423 were tied for the lead with one race remaining but never in the history of the game have four players had a serious shot at the championship at this point in the season.

Looking at the Drivers Used spreadsheet it appears that the four contending players will most likely pick four different drivers meaning that the game's Championship could be had by any one of them, with tie-breaker finishes being used to determine the winner a definite possibility.

LET'S GO RACING, BOYS !!!
