its noway now that Nascar can keep this going after this season.

I expect them to a full season championship from here out.

If they keep the playoffs after this they are toast.

As much as I wish that was the case, this won’t be what changes it. We might eventually have the playoffs go away, but it won’t be because of this.
I mean when you got legends like Mark Martin saying this is a **** show and Brad said himself the playoffs can't go on after this. Nascar can't ignore this anymore if they want to be taken serious.

Unfortunately they will not change the system this year or anytime soon. Even bad press is better than none and they will be getting extra attention due to the mess during the closing laps at Martinsville.

Most importantly changing it shortly after the Martinsville fiasco(s) would be conceding that there is a real problem, not good for resumes and retaining the future HoF status.

CEOs and corporate types are only going to admit to self inflicted failures as a last option. Any desired changes will only be implemented after a very uneventful season.

The only way this joke of a system changes is if every single one of us turns off our TV this Sunday. DON’T watch the finale. I’m not. If the ratings fall a huge amount it’ll wake them up. Good luck getting a bunch of people to do that, though

I wonder if NZ is included in TV numbers.... 🤔
I'm guessing not.... So I'll watch

I think being vocal on social media holds more weight than not watching. If I had a Nielsen box or had any indication they were really monitoring the viewing it would be different.
I have been disengaged more than ever with this latest version of the playoffs. I have the sound off, makes me crazy to listen to all of the gerbil playoff nonsense and I listen to MRN Or PRN. They call the race, say little about the playoffs and none of them tell the drivers how they should drive according to gerbil Jeff Burton or Steve Letarte.

The whole thing is a glaring joke this year. Icing on the cake would be a Logano win.

Nascar will be okay even with Martinsville getting some itchmond yesterday.

Nascar just needs to get themselves a third rate reality series that deals with: - the itchings for the cutoff races,
- drivers that don't post sweet tweets about Nascar
- WAIVERS DAMMIT!
- Jeff Burtons gerbil squirts etc....

Speaking of Jeff (crushed nuts) Burton. If they get rid of him and Latarte and bring in 2 good former drivers that keep their cool, it will make a big difference.
What was terribly disappointing was when they said CW was going to do the rest of the Xfinity races this year. I was so pumped to be getting a break from the gerbils.
They bleeping doubled down! We got around goes Rick Allen, gerbil Jeff Burton and oh hell yeah Steve Letarte.

Nascar is involved in a law suit, therefor they can't make any changes ( other than the number of teams) the slightest changes could be viewed as an admission something is wrong.

Lol people have been tearing this system apart on social media for 10 years. They just say it’s a vocal minority and “ratings are up.” That’s why I believe the only way to get rid of this system is to tank the ratings of the finale.

Good luck getting something like that put together on short notice, even in these days of social media.

Don't make the assumption that the opinions on social media reflect those of the TV audience. There are always more people ready to complain about something than to praise it, regardless of the subject or form of media.

Personally, I don't care enough about this to skip the race.

if they must keep the playoffs get rid of win and you in and just do Top 16 in Points makes it.

Also make championship 4 round three races instead of one.

At this point if I’m not getting a full season championship format, I honestly would take the original Chase format, or the 12 driver one(16 is way to many imo) and just do 10 races and whoever collects the most points in those 10 is champion. Having one race to determine the champ just doesn’t feel right.

the best format is the first one with the Top 10 in Points making it but the people in charge are too in love with the elimination format to change it back. I think my idea above is the best for the eilmation format the championship 4 is three races also do Top 16 in Points making it getting rid of the Win and you are in.

For anyone who might miss when college football was the sport everyone complained about having a jacked up end of season in the pre-BCS days, NASCAR is here for you today.
