NFL 2024-2025

They sure telegraphed that never thrown a TD pass in the fourth quarter of a tie game thing. I told my wife it's for sure going to happen now, and it did.

Would’ve liked to see the Bucs go for 2 there, but a heck of a drive by Baker and Shepard. Good to see Sterling taking advantage of the opportunity after being injured so often the past several years in New York.

I really thought (before Aikman said it) that the Bucs would go for two if they scored. I wouldn't, but I thought they would. Chiefs have 27 seconds and three timeouts.

The miscommunication between Mahomes and Hopkins is understandable because of how new he is, but that was almost disastrous. The Chiefs were not impressive in the closing stages of regulation.

Hunt has turned out to be a hell of a workhorse...again. It will be interesting to see how they manage him and Pacheco when they're both available.

And that’s why you go for the dagger when you get the chance. Baker doesn’t even get to see the ball.

You don’t extend the game on the road against the best team in the league with the best QB of a generation.

To be clear, I do not agree with going for a 2-point conversion in that situation. I don't like gambling an entire game on one play, unless you have little reason to believe your team can win straight up. Forgetting the abstract percentages or win probabilities involved, I just don't like that mentality. If the Bucs win the toss, it could easily have gone the other way.

I don't like the OT format. Guarantee both teams a possession or just play a full 10-minute period.

I like this Bucs team and wish they were in better position. They are better than 4-5.

I’d rather just trust my guys to punch it in from three yards out than leave it up to chance on the coin toss. Maybe it turns out differently if you do win the flip, but going for it is the best way to control your own fate. Hand it off to White, Otton is a big passing target, and if you don’t get it you can live with it easier than you would from not even seeing the ball in OT I think.

The other wrinkle is that if you get the 2-pointer and go up 1, there is more urgency for the Chiefs with 27 seconds and three timeouts. They frittered it away in a tie game, but they aren't approaching either 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1 the same way if they are down by a point, and all they needed was one more solid completion to give Butker a chance.

The criticism of the Bucs taking their timeout at the wrong time is more well founded IMO.

Well, it looks like we made a trade for a pass rusher. Like I’ve said, I’m not the most knowledgeable when it comes to other teams/players, so I don’t have much insight on Za’Darius Smith. I guess I’ll find out next week how good this guy is.

He was a awesome Raven

Mac Jones time in Jacksonville.

Trevor Lawrence likely out this weekend, may undergo season-ending surgery. And he should, for no other reason than to not take another snap in a Press Taylor offense.

The Bengals have just looked a lot sharper so far tonight. Lamar looks sluggish for Lamar. I had half an impulse to take the Bengals, but thought sticking with the Ravens was the safe pick.

And now that fumble is the Ravens' chance to turn the game around.

The Bengals' fourth down playcalling is just appalling. That is the second time they have had no sensible play drawn up for 4th and 2 or 3 and have just taken a wild deep shot. Zac Taylor is not a coach that any other team will be eager to hire if he coaches his way out of a job in Cincy.

Lamar has vastly improved as a passer. Turned into a good game here. Stunning to remember that the Ravens offense got booed off the field in the middle of the third quarter down 21-7.

The Bengals will have their shot to answer back.

The Bengals had this game in hand mid-third quarter and the fumble changed everything. It became wildly entertaining after that. The Bengals just make too many questionable decisions, and my opinion is that Zac Taylor is a gambler, not a tactician on any level.

The missed defensive penalty calls on the Ravens suck. They started calling some, as it seemed like they were committing penalties on every play. But they missed huge ones.

The Taylor Brothers are useless.

I liked the call to go for 2 😛 but I agree that Zac Taylor is on awfully thin ice at the moment. The Bengals can really only afford two more losses at most the rest of the year to have any chance at a Wild Card. The defense continues to disappoint, and his game management and situational offensive playcalling is not good.

It’s a shame the game ended the way it did with a pair of missed calls. Michaels was right, this happens way too often for it to be ignored any longer.

Also, there was some Twitter discussion happening a few weeks where ago someone was arguing that momentum in sports isn’t real. The Bengals fumble up 21-7 sure seemed to be an inflection point that indicates otherwise.
