NASCAR Pick 'Em 2024 - Phoenix

Congrats to @Spotter22, Champion of the NASCAR Pick 'Em 2024 game.

Unbelievable that he was able to win it all after taking one on the chin with his ineligible pick for the late season Atlanta race that stuck him with 39 points.

Final season standings and appropriate awards soon to follow.

Much appreciated. Its a ton of fun playing this game with all of you.
Way to go @Spotter22 ! A come from behind win in a tough front running pack. Kudos to @pjmolo for his great run and for delivering such a wonderful game! When one’s picks become more of the focus than the drivers you always pull for, it indicates either some type of sickness, or the love we have for competing in this event. ☺️

I look forward to this every weekend. Thanks @pjmolo for your tireless efforts on putting this together and running it on the daily. The most amazing thing is not only does @pjmolo run the weekly tabulations but this guy produces stats on each and every player! Gotta love the effort, thanks again!

With the way things transpired, that Ineligible was probably a blessing on disguise. He was able to save a quality driver for later.

Funny how things work sometimes.

Congrats to @Spotter22, and all of the top four contestants. Really good picks were required to win this year. Spotter's 13.72 average points per race is outrageous... probably a NASCAR Pick 'Em record.

And a sincere thank you to @pjmolo who is undoubtedly the best and fairest commissioner among all of the major sports leagues. Roger Goodell must be green with envy that @oldwhatshisname guided the Pick 'Em industry through yet another year of good competition, without lawsuits or major controversy... Well done!

NASCAR Pick 'Em is such a cool game. I can honestly say I'm a more knowledgeable fan because of the game. Now I have to know a little something about at least 36 drivers/teams. My focus really did not go that deep in the field before Nascar Pick 'Em. I'm hoping to improve next year on my P7 finish.

Fantasy racing forces players to look beyond their preferences and preconceptions, and to evaluate each driver on individual characteristics. At least it does if the player wants to be successful. I had a league in the '00s with a lady who steadfastly refused to ever pick Jimmie Johnson...

It also teaches basic resource management, whether by limiting driver starts or by a spending cap system. There's some basic statistical analysis going on too. A properly run league (like this one!) can be a surprisingly educational experience.

I forgot I had a sub-500 season last year. I've done pretty well in this game historically, but I'm still chasing that elusive championship.

I guess you could say I'm the Denny Hamlin of the prestigious 'Pick Em game.

@Head423 was so ridiculous last year that me having one of the best seasons ever wasn't enough.

Congratulations to @Spotter22, Champion of the NASCAR Pick 'Em 2024 game.

Final plans regarding the upcoming awards banquet are in the works and details will be forthcoming.

Thanks to all for participating in what I hope was an enjoyable race season.

Again, thanks to @pjmolo for putting on a first class game for all of us to enjoy! Congrats to @aunty dive and @pjmolo and @dirtfan for a hard fought battle. It was really fun and makes watching the race even more exciting. Appreciate all of the accolades!

It was a battle right down to the wire. Very well done @Spotter22 … a most worthy champion.

Congratulations @pjmolo and @dirtfan ,.. up at the front the whole way.

Two people have won the thing twice - @Jorge De Guzman and @Head423. Head did 2 in a row. I’m astounded by what both of them have done.

Finally, @pjmolo … what the hell would we do without this guy?

I feel fortunate to get a p11 in spite of so many awful finishes that Nascar manipulated to keep me down and kick me in the teeth when I tried to keep on smiling

It is obvious that somebody didn't want me win and theyll willingly sacrificed so many when ordered to do a suicide race just to spite me.

Gillian p 26th at Arlanta,
Wallace p35 at Vegas
Jones p31 at Phoenix
Preace p28th at Richmond
Halley p34th at Talladega
Byron p23rd at Kamss
Buescher p30 Darlington
SVG p40 at Chicago
Chastain p25 at Michigan
Cindric 10th at Atlanta (wasted a car capable of winning)
Allmindinger p36 Watkins Glen blew up

If the 12 questionable races were properly cucumbered, I might have won the thing. One day Ken Burns will do a documentary and the people will know.

the back to back years that Head won legit was mind boggling. I think thats the most impressive feat in this game, and will probably never be topped imo.

I was never a threat this season as I started out near the bottom a never rebounded. But there were still a few standout races that really hurt, included when both my pick-em guy Burton and my main guy Byron were taken out in the same wreck by Ryan Preece at Indy and when Reddick took himself from the front to the back at Darlington in a matter of seconds. Despite that, I was still hopeful for a top 10, until Brad got side swiped at Vegas. At that point, I struggled to finish top 20. I’m still in the process of figuring out how to let my cat make my picks for me next season.

Can’t believe we had our own final four battling it out in the final race of the year. That’s just insane, so congrats to those guys.

Most importantly, as others have mentioned…a big thanks to @pjmolo for running this thing! Takes a lot of dedication and organization to keep it going for an entire season. He deserves this three month vacation just as much as the drivers do!

Seriously thanks to @pjmolo . I think he is best league commissior anywhere. The energy and passion of the competition makes it a self evident thing.

He always does a great and first class job with every race.
I've offered before, but I'm good with giving @pjmolo a fee for running this game if he would accept. I know this isn't an easy push to play, its a ton of work. I'm good with excel spreadsheets but PJ puts in a bunch of work categorizing it all. Every player puts in 20 bucks.

He manages BOLD Prediction too.
Dedication, and then some...
