As it turns out, "All's well that ends well."
The 2024 banquet held by the players of the NASCAR Pick 'Em game this past weekend turned out to be an event to remember as several of the attendees were taken into custody by local law enforcement after the saloon where the event was held got torn up in a bar fight.
Immediately taken before a judge at a busy area night court, a hefty bail amount was imposed upon each offender with the exception of
@aunty dive, who bombarded the sleepy magistrate with an endless stream of "Yes, sir. No, sir" before being eventually released on his own recognizance.
Apparently the brouhaha got started when the hawt wimmins, aka
@Greg's fan club, complained to him that they weren't exactly being treated as ladies by several inebriated revelers.
That in turn caused a visibly upset
@Greg to halt the proceedings and gather up the wimmins before the bunch of them left in search of a more accommodating establishment, some of the girls mooning the crowd as they waddled out the door.
The place then went up for grabs as everyone blamed everyone else for ruining the party-like atmosphere and pretty soon punches were being thrown and bar stools were flying.
After sitting in the can for a relatively short period of time, the boys learned that the saloon's owner would drop all charges if his precious Goodyear Eagle Tire centerpieces were returned immediately.
Without a moment's hesitation,
@Magicmiler fessed up that he had a half dozen of them in his car and just like that everything was all good even though the saloon had been left in shambles.
Turns out that the saloon's owner had several of his bar girls, adept at the art of pick-pocketing, working the crowd all night and he ended up coming away with more than enough cash to repair the joint.
