Watching the LPGA tour this fall, I learned their HOF has specific criteria based on performance. Meet the criteria and you're automatically in. There's no minimum time period after retirement, etc.

Are there any other HOFs with explicitly stated qualifications based on performance? The ones I know of all depend on a committee vote.

Thanks.

College Football Hall of Fame requires players to have been a 1st Team All-American and coaches to have had a .600 winning percentage. I remember the latter was pretty controversial when Mike Leach passed away a couple of years ago exactly one win below the eligibility threshold.

I think an issue some HOFs have is dealing with the aftermath of segregation. For boxing or baseball, making world titles a criteria when many fighters were denied title bouts due to the color of their skin is a problem. Also there's the old days thing where there were a bunch of pro football leagues and pro basketball leagues and so on.
