1500+ this event is so insane, I need to get to it someday

NASCAR Cup Series competitors Kyle Larson and Kyle Busch will be in action in the Stock/Outlaw divisions, along with their sons Owen Larson and Brexton Busch in kid classes.

Busch is one of 140 drivers currently entered for “Quadruple Duty” – running all four primary Stock/Outlaw divisions. He’s joined in that category by notable names such as Tyler Courtney, Ricky Thornton Jr., Daison Pursley, Brent Crews, Kameron Key, Jace Park, and KJ Snow, all who are chasing their first Golden Driller.

Last year, Snow became the 17th driver in Tulsa Shootout history to achieve the rare feat of starting all four Stock/Outlaw Championship A-Mains in the Driller Day finale.

At this time, 10 former champions of the Stock/Outlaw divisions are entered in hopes of adding another Golden Driller to their mantle. That list includes Tulsa Expo aces Frank Flud, Blake Hahn, Michael Faccinto, Jeffrey Newell, Kris Carroll, Jason McDougal, Trey Marcham, Gary Taylor, and Chris Cochran.

Young guns Wyatt Miller, Jett Nunley, Jaxton Wiggs, Kaylee Bryson, Braxton Flatt, Mattix McBride, Lucas Mauldin, and Jett Barnes are all recent Golden Driller winners in the Jr. Sprint or Restricted divisions who have advanced into competition in higher divisions.

Going into the 40th edition of the “Mecca of Micros” the entry count is 1,653 among 697 drivers from 43 states and three countries. The current record is 1,752 entries received for the 2024 event. Of those, 1,698 were confirmed. The number of entries has exceeded the millennium mark since 2015.

Hopefully she’ll have a good week after last year’s run of horrible luck.
