Never mind, realized you were talking about Carl Edwards, who definitely isn't racing anything.
The ones criticizing Toni and Danica for taking pictures in bikinis would probably do anything to have the opportunity to pose for a magazine. Ignore the trolls, Toni will be just fine.Breidinger going the Danica Patrick route. Posing for sports illustrated.
Same critiques and encouragements apply. I wish DP and Toni didn’t do it - but understand why. Who says you can’t be a pretty woman AND a racer. Also, just because you race doesn’t make you less feminine.
As a girl dad, I don’t t want my girls to have to pretend to be boyish to succeed in their sports. Double edged sword applies here - pose in a magazine like SI, and be sexualized. Don’t pose, and possibly lose lucrative sponsorship, as some sponsors may want the exposure.
Again, as a girl dad, I would be pretty conflicted if they wanted to do something like DP and Toni did. I’d want to support them and their choice. But I’d hate to see the backlash from the haters.
I also understand the critiques- she risks “doing a decker “ (Natalie) where people may say she’s more interested in social media likes than racing.
In the end in end, I hope it works out for her. I wish the world was different but it is what it is.
Agreed. I just hope Avedesian and Bryson don’t follow suit. The racing world is fine just as it is.
There are several young women advancing their careers by running at the front and winning races. Breidinger’s skin shots are a distraction from her mediocre Natalie Decker-like performance record.
I think you are wrong.I think all of you will be dead before a girl wins a Cup race![]()
Maybe we’ll see.I think you are wrong.
I think a lot here will fall over dead when it happens.I think all of you will be dead before a girl wins a Cup race![]()
Or, “if” it happensI think a lot here will fall over dead when it happens.
Shout out to the guy that bagged Natalie DeckerThe racing world is fine just as it is.

She's been modeling for years, possibly even before she started racing. This isn't anything new for her.Breidinger going the Danica Patrick route. Posing for sports illustrated.
I didn’t know this. Thanks! I wonder if her previous jobs had SIs prestige. ..She's been modeling for years, possibly even before she started racing. This isn't anything new for her.
Agree. DP10 could have done many good things. She did lead the indy500.Personally, I never found her that attractive. Maybe it's the heavy eyebrows. But it also never mattered much to me how they look, rather how they perform and I see her as another Deegan. I would love to see a very competitive female on track as I do with anything that is male dominated, but so far it's not happening with her.
Some scoff at Danica, but one thing she had was fire and desire. Too bad some put a target on her back on the track in the Cup Series. Who knows how far she could have gone if she had started her career in stock cars instead of open wheel. As far as looks, she has Haley and Toni beat by a mile. My two pennies on the subject.
Danica was a race car driver through and through. Her looks helped market her but she earned her opportunities by performing. Her career was disappointing considering the promise after her 2005 Indy 500 performance. But at least she tried. Rushed to Cup way too quickly. Probably wins a race or two in Trucks or Nationwide if she hung around longer.
Hailee Deegan has some ability too, but couldn’t hold a candle to Danica talent wise IMO.
Toni Breidinger and Natalie Decker and the like are influencers cosplaying as race car drivers. It’s not the same. It’s not serious.
Toni at least isn’t a weapon on track. She can run as long as Celsius, Raising Cane’s, Victoria’s Secret and whatever wanna pay for her ride the same as any ridebuyer. But this notion that she’s gonna be more than a 22nd place driver is trucks is setting up for disappointment.
It takes some type of talent to be able to run in NASCAR, regardless of where she's finishing.Disagree.
Toni takes it seriously and wants to race. She just doesn’t have the talent.
Okay, she doesn't currently have the talent to run better than low 20s in the Truck series. How's that?It takes some type of talent to be able to run in NASCAR, regardless of where she's finishing.
