NFL 2024-2025

Out of all the teams that had no chance this weekend, the Packers may top them all. Now that I said that, watch the Eagles fall asleep and this be a nail biter.

Steelers will be back. It may take some time. Teams run in cycles. Green bay was once a dynasty and so were the Steelers. Back in the 70's the Steelers were one of the greatest teams in NFL History. They have also had some good years since then.
I have been a Steelers and Pirates fan my whole life through thick and thin. I don't "only" root for them when they are a winning team.
Not sure what your implying but I was born a Steelers fan. My born on date goes way back before their domination of the 70's. I'm quite familiar with their history as I lived it and still do on a daily basis. I'm not the fair weather fan you seem to describe. I no longer go to the games but that's an expense thing. I can't justify spending that much when I have the best seat in my house.

Wasn't there some kind of agreement that Mayo would be the coach before Belichick left? Seems like there was a non-contractual obligation but I could be wrong.

Yes, it was reported that they had a succession plan in place that predated Vrabel being fired by the Titans, and they stuck with it. The Pats are lucky that nobody else pounced on Vrabel last off-season.

More drives like that this game shouldn't be close.

Also Jake Elliott is going to be the death of me I don't know ow if he's hurt this year or what but he used to be automatic.

Wow your wide open you got to come down in bounds there on 4th down. Not that I wanted him to but he could of.

Is it really necessary to use a timeout before the FG? You are saving a second. Just kick the dang ball and stop wasting time! Obviously everyone does it, but I just don’t understand.

That's not what they are doing they are buying the clock down as much as possible you do the timeout to save the penalty. Makes perfect sense strategy wise especially with a team that's lost 2 games on last second plays this year. Don't give your opponent any chance.

Packers fans can say all they want about the fumble but they still threw 3 picks on top of that, and are down by more than that touchdown.

Come on GB! Couldn’t beat Minnesota for me and now you couldn’t beat Philly! I guess we’ll have to take care of them ourselves. Mwahahaha!

The Packers have had a front office problem since Ron Wolf retired as GM in 2001 and it has had a cascading effect on poor coaching hires and drafting decisions. They have been admittedly more concerned about building up a profitable Titletown District and drafting players with high character than anything else. Clearly that doesn’t win you championships and although Lombardi was all about community and high character, he was also as fierce a competitor as they came. He would have single handedly fired everyone on this staff 10 times over in the past few years with their lack of performance.

In other words, hire coaches and players who aren’t pansies

Huuuge goal line stand. Phew.

Shocked they only tried to run once in that sequence. They were at the 1. 🥴

Game over. Commies will milk it and kick a FG for the win.

Terrible execution by the Bucs down the stretch. Can’t give away the ball inside your own 15, come away with a FG after having 2nd & 1 at their 12, and expect to win these games.

Despite Washington having the better record, I’d still consider this one an upset. I thought for sure Tampa was the better team.

On another note, LA, both my sisters’s and one of my manager’s team now needs to win twice for their shot at revenge on Detroit.

Hurts played below average and was clearly rusty and we still won by double digits. Gonna need more out of him to make it to and win the SB. I have faith he can elevate his play to the level needed.

Onto the next one…don’t care what team it is they can both get it next week.

After they denied the Bears to interview him...
Thought I already posted this but couldn't find it:

Classy move.

Then again the Bears are wanting to interview Freeman who has a fairly important game still left in this season.
