I don't want them to change up the qualifying or Thursday 150's, but a LCQ with just those 9 going for the 4 spots would be fun to watch.

I prefer it over the draft your buddy into the 500 option.
At least it would be less about who's connected to one of the bigger teams. It wouldn't be a total cure or eliminate all of the deal making but it would be an improvement.

But, but, so many buts, I don't want them to make a change for a one off situation. Just line em on Thursday and run the 150's.

It was just a fun thought, if anybody sees someone with a sign and shaking their fist at the track it won't be me(at least not this time).

Yeah, that leaves six guys for maybe two spots, assuming the #15 and #66 show. Maybe only one spot, depending on how Spiderman does. With a guaranteed spot and little on the line, I wonder if Helio will use his Duel strictly as a practice session, not worry about finishing position? Maybe buy some good will by dropping to the back at the end and letting someone else have a slot?

He needs to practice being in the big one too though. They don't really do that in Indy much.
