2025 Bathurst 12 Hour

That was a big accident, shame. The only Daytona 24 driver
I recognize is Farfus ( not your fav) , anyone else?
Hope V. Rossi team does good.
 
This place bites in a big way. Ouch. Not sure I’ve ever seen a car totally clear the height of the wall at Skyline like that before…could’ve been even worse.
 
Didn’t exactly want BMW (and Farfus in particular) to win today, but hard to be upset with a largely entertaining race. It’s hard to believe this is BMW’s first win here in the GT3 era. The Van der Linde brothers winning together is pretty special as well.

The last three years this race has stabilized with a field of ~ 8-10 Pro entries. I’m not sure it’ll ever reach the pre-COVID entry levels again, but the quality is very good and Ford are poised to enter with T8 next year when their Supercars relationship begins.
 
The 46 BMW team with V. Rossi gets 2nd. I think they were in 5th or 4th when I
started to fade with just ear buds in (half listening) so I will need to go back
and see what got them to 2nd. You needed to have a spotters guide close by
as it was near impossible to see the cars numbers on tv as they are usually
in a fast corner or the camera shot was too far away on the straights. Very
entertaining race with lots of action.

There was some fuel drama in the last stint after the final safety car with the podium finishers all making it to the end without another stop. Marciello threw a bold move on the outside of the Chase for what ended up being 2nd.

Mostert was thrashing the sole Pro Ferrari in hopes of taking the lead and getting a safety car to carry them to the finish on fuel; didn’t work out unfortunately, but it was fun to watch.
