The deadline for submittal of drivers picks for the first race of the 2025 season is Sunday, February 16th, 1:30 p.m. Eastern time.

Whether you've been a long-time participant in the game or have never tried your luck at it, all who post on the Racing-Forums.com board are encouraged to join in.

Lest anyone needs a refresher, the NASCAR Pick 'Em Game Rules For Dummies reads like this:

First and foremost, there is no sign-up or registration aspect to the game.

For each and every points paying NASCAR Cup Series race, each player selects a driver that is expected to have a relatively good finishing position in that race.

A particular driver may be used as a player's pick for one, and only one, race during the course of the season.

Game points are awarded based upon the finishing position of the player's driver pick in that race.

1st place finish = 1 point . . . . 40th place finish = 40 points, with all finishes in between awarded appropriately.

At season's end the game's Championship Plaque is awarded to the player that has the fewest total points after the 36th and final points race.

Complete game rules, including how to submit driver picks, can be found in this thread:

So this is the thread were we can make a fool of oneself with little or no effort.
For my opening gambit I am going to put it all on the line,
RCR and Kyle for the win.

Had to put a heat lamp on the computer to fire it up and the good news is the ice is still 3 feet thick for fishing. I did get to watch the races yesterday. lol

NASCAR moves up start time for Daytona 500 due to weather forecast for Sunday.

Due to potential weather forecasted for the Daytona Beach area late Sunday, NASCAR announced that the DAYTONA 500 will move up one hour from its originally scheduled time to now begin at 1:30 p.m. ET.

Because of the change of the Daytona 500 start time, the deadline for submittal of drivers picks is now Sunday, February 16th, 12:30 p.m. Eastern time.

My picks are submitted for the entire year. If your curious what asinine system I came up with this year... I ranked the 36 charter team drivers alphabetically by first time. Then I matched them with the track in schedule order that started with the same letter. If there were no names that matched I skipped that track. Then I went through by last name, again if they didn't fit skip. Then I eliminated by taking away the first letter of the first name then first later of last name. I kept taking away a letter from first then last name until I had I think 3 drivers left at which point I took the first letter off the track name and that's how I got where I got...:puffin: may have been involved...

You lost me…but good luck! Since we’re revealing our secrets, here’s mine…

I said my cat is picking my drivers. To an extent, that’s true. Each race, I’m taking the top 10 qualifiers who I haven’t used yet. I’m writing their name on a piece of paper and lining them on the floor in a random order. Then, I’m sitting a cat treat on each one. Whichever treat my cat eats first, that’s the driver I’m going with. 😂

And no, I’m not actually letting her eat all 10 treats.

You could reduce the number instead throughout the season until you only give her one and make her REALLY think about which one to pick, ;) ;) :p

I’m hoping my pick isn’t too popular this weekend. The best way to win this game is by making bold picks that finish strong.

This week’s most popular driver was Martin Truex Jr., picked by 10 people. Allgaier is the next most popular, taken by 8.

Different strategies with this game. Some feel best pick is to pick who has best chance to win. Others will never use an A tier driver on a restrictor plate track.
