Big Brain of the Race: Austin

^If making no attempt to win a race and simply trying to earn stage points is the new strategy, then NASCAR is ruined.

In the last ten road course races, Bubba has a single top 10 finish and an average finish of 18.1. Earning points looks like sound strategy to me when you're not likely to win, especially on road courses where stage breaks force teams to choose between the two.

The opposite of the Bonehead.

I'm going with Adam Stevens for staying out a few laps longer than Kyle Busch, which ultimately gave him a tire advantage down the stretch after the caution.
100%. This is Adam's philosophy on road courses. Saw him try this with Bush when he was good a few times. Favorite crew chief. The guy is awesome.

Every so often I have to pull stuff like this out when the deathbedders start to go off of the inevitable deep end. I try to save them from themselves. Honestly, I just don't want to hear the same ol over hashed deathbedder I hate everything Nascar once again. Go watch Golf. The Billions Nascar earns from TV is not a joke, people watch. They don't need our broke ass advice on how to do it.

This past weekend, NASCAR’s EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas in Austin averaged 4.1 million viewers on Fox—double the average viewership for Luka Dončić’s Lakers debut game on Feb. 10. This follows Sundays where Fox got 4.6 million viewers at the Atlanta Motor Speedway and 6.8 million for the Daytona 500.
If you separate out football, which is the ratings king in the U.S., these numbers for NASCAR more than hold their own when compared to the rest of the sports landscape.

Deathbedders are an annoying loud very small minority who think they matter.
