2025 Bahrain Grand Prix

Absolute honker of a Q3 lap from Norris 🙊 P6 while Piastri takes pole. Very interesting top 5 with Leclerc splitting the two Mercs, followed by Gasly. Verstappen back in P7.

Ferrari have a good strategy call unfolding for once and of course it gets thwarted by a Mickey Mouse safety car. Smdh.

Piastri had the measure of the field.

Russell and Leclerc were extremely impressive holding off Lando.

Ferrari still in the 3rd best team area under McLaren and Mercedes.

Gasly what a drive from him and Doohan looked handy until his tires fell off a cliff. Bearman as well had a sublime drive from himself and Ocon. Haas should be proud of this weekend.

The sad part is the 2026 rules do nothing to reduce turbulence.
I’m glad that they’re at least making the ‘26 cars a bit smaller and lighter, but the fact that there’s still some much up in the air with regard to the new regulations reinforce (imo) that they were not very well thought out.

There was talk in 2023 that they would be closing a lot of outwash loopholes, but I guess it was just talk.

Iirc, late last year they cut the targeted downforce reduction from -40% to -15% from the current cars. Once teams make some progress the difference will be effectively negligible.

It pretty much all stems from concerns over how powerful the new power units will be, unfortunately. They don’t want the cars to be so ungodly slow as far as lap times are concerned.

No chance Max is back at Red Bull next year the way things are going and it’s only the 4th race
The question is where would he go. It'd be a shame if Merc dumped Antonelli after just one year.

Solid racing thanks to some different strategies. Goes to show what softer tires could do.
Not sure what race control were thinking. The debris could've easily been cleared under a VSC and the 10 sec penalty for Liam was a joke.

Why would Max leave Red Bull? Chances are they will be number one again next year with the new regulations.
