Notes – Sixth race this season on this tire set-up for Cup cars: Being on 18-inch bead diameter tires, NASCAR Cup teams will run a different tire set-up than those in the NASCAR Xfinity and Craftsman Truck Series at Nashville this week . . . this is the same right-side tire Cup teams ran at Nashville last season, but with a different left-side tire . . . compared to what was run at this track in 2024, this left-side features a compound change for more tire wear and lap-time fall-off . . . Cup teams have run this same combination of left- and right-side tires at Las Vegas, Homestead, Darlington, Texas and Kansas earlier this season . . . with this 18-inch tire and its lower profile sidewall, NASCAR Cup cars do not run inner liners in any of their tires.

Goodyear quote – Stu Grant, Goodyear’s general manger of global race tires: “Nashville is a fun challenge for the teams, being a fast, 1.3-mile track with a concrete surface. We have a different left-side than we ran there last year, but teams should have a good notebook built up on this set-up because we’ve run it several times this season.”

They are finally starting to put Heim in a competitive Cup car, he might be one to watch.

Not feeling overly confident about the forecast tonight. ☹️ Spotty storms all night, so even if it doesn’t rain over the track, there will probably be some lightning delays.

It seems more often than not that when the yoters qualify well, they have missed the setup for longer runs and they soon fall back fairly quickly in the first stage. I call it pre yoter ejaculation. 😁
Smoke out yer ass again....but ya got some likes so all good. Your boy got through two corners this weekend before spinning. I think he is gaining on it.
