Johali's Rate the Cup race --- Nashville

8. Great first 2/3, got a little spaced out at the end. To be fair Blaney easily had the best car, could put it wherever he wanted

Good race all around. Wasn't as tense as Friday/Saturday, but still a good one.
Congratulations, Ryan Blaney and the 12 team.

Beat me to this!! I was just about to post about this race myself! I did enjoy the race, my driver on the other hand probably didn’t, he finished 30th!!! But I gotta give a standing ovation to Team Penske!! My guy Blaney won! And Joey came in 4th!!! So If I were gonna grade this Race; I’d give it a solid A- for these reasons;

1. Ryan Blaney’s Exciting Finish

2. Good Pit Stop strategies: I do think Team Penske timed their pit stops right and came out successful!!

3. Strong Performances: From guys like Denny Hamlin and William Byron!!

But here’s why I wouldn’t give it an A+:

1. Some Predictability: While the finish was exciting; the overall outcome might have been somewhat predictable.

2. Caution Laps: Several caution laps, which might have affected the pace of the racing for some viewers.

So A- is my Final grade for last nights Cracker Barrell 400 at Nashville Speedway!

1 and Gadzillion.....Gadzillion in the event of a Toyota win of course. ;)

10. Best car won. Five badass Toyotas in the Top 10. Heritage Trophy on the line next week....not giving it back! LFG.

7.5 Great ending but the first half was pretty static. Great broadcast quality though.

Also how is Nashville calling itself a Superspeedway? (For a different thread but that’s a .5 point deduction)

Oh okay!! Thank you for pointing that out and clarifying that for me!! No I did not even read the other messages and see it was a “1-10” system. Just sort of hopped right into it and started grading the race!! But going forward in the future if I plan to rate a race: I’ll use the 1-10 method.

I was entertained from start to finish and on the edge for the last 25 laps. Just kept waiting for that caution. Have to deduct two points when the race leader can't/won't pass cars running in position 25 - 30 for 30 laps at the end of the race.
