Congratulations to Tyler Reddick for his 2026 Daytona 500 win!!

And to 23XI race team as well. They had fast cars and deserved the win.

Like every restrictor plate race the white flag lap breeds wrecks and this time was no different.
Reddick won by making instant decisions, any of which could have caused a different result but they turned out to be the right ones and allowed him t cross the finish line first.
 
I would like to think that Whinning Smoke is somewhere out there laid back, sipping a brewski and penning a masterpiece about a short redheaded guy who woke up after all of the faster cars wrecked and found himself in the winners circle at Daytona.
 
I am sure that @WhinningSmoke can speak for himself and doesn't need my help.

But Tyler Reddick's youngest son has had some serious heatlh challanges and needed some major surgery in 2025. Hopefully the little guy is healing well and things are better for him now, and the entire family.

Maybe the silence is @WhinningSmoke (s) way of showing some respect (or maybe he just met the perfect Italian or Cuban stripper, I dunno).

TWO WINS IN A ROW FOR REDDICK AND 23XI !! COULD 23XI BE THE NEXT HMS OR JGR?
With Hamlin as an owner and one who knows all sides of the sport inside and out, could 23XI be headed for a championship? Maybe Denny hasn't won a NASCAR Championship, yet, and might never as luck as well as skill is involved, but the outlook is good for a high performing season.

We'll know better when roda courses and short tracks begin to fill the schedule.

Looks to me to be a great year for all teams and one in which any team or driver could winn the championship.
