Cup RACE thread --- Atlanta

Reddick isn't one of my very favorites, but he is high on the list. I think he is a good guy with the kind of talent that has been better than the results (prior to 2026).

I am glad to see some things going his way for him. I think he is good enough to be one the anchor drivers that Toyota (or any other team/brand) would want to keep around for a long time

I just can't make sense of manufacture fandom. I dont care what my driver/drivers drive.
I was thinking about this. While I wonder about any move this series makes to bring back the past, this is one area that I wish would come back....where it matters what you drive, and you root for that manufacturer--more than the drivers themselves. There are a few of us when I go to the track....it's really cool how we find each other by what we wear----or other manufacturer fans find me in the Toyota Racing Experience. I won't step foot in the Chevy or Ford midway stuff--don't even like walking by to get to where I need to go....and before somebody rants about this....I. DO. NOT. CARE.

I think a big part of last year was what was happening to his kid. He is a human being. Given that all of that seems resolved, look at him now! I think he will be with US for a very long time.

Spec cars.
Kind of, but not really.....honestly, Next Gen is the perfect solution for this time. If we get past the bitching, we can see how brilliant this car is. I didn't say perfect, but I did say brilliant.

Some fans will take the MFG stuff to the extreme, but It's nothing compared to the extremes the manufacturers go and the money they spend at the Nascar level. Bottom line is they are selling cars and it is all about their brand.
MFG influence shows up in spades at the plate tracks. Very seldom will one brand help another these days.

It’s ok to disagree. I think this car is garbage and the racing has never been worse.

This car is 95% spec. It even has it's own generic name. It's okay to admit it.

Technically all race cars are spec cars. I don't know why some haters think they have found the hot button lol. All race cars are built to specifications that are written in a rule book.
