The only way that rumor is going to die is if Hendrick says something or Bowman quits. Corey Day is making that hard right now. Huge jump for Day, I would say Bowman for another year. No way Day is ready for Cup.Kevin Harvick predicts that Alex Bowman must win in the 48 this summer in order to get a contract extension from HMS. (It's also worth noting that Harvick owns a talent agency that represents a number of Nascar drivers that would love to be in the 48. So Yap Yap Harvick definitely has that conflict of interest in the matter of the 48.)
Poor Richard has never said one thing "best." Ever.Childress said it best. I'll add race teams plural. "I don’t think it showed any respect for his race team(s) or everyone who got him where he is,” Childress said.
You are hanging your hat on what Poor Richard says....but those with agendas jump on those sound bites. Admirable that Tyler didn't get into a pissing match with the good ole boy. What Revman thinks/makes up, and what really happened are two different things. Hamlin started off with the whopper of saying he has won 10,000 races, Reddick's credibility with job hopping is another issue. Giving your employer an hour notice you are leaving before the announcement but you still have 18 months of contract to fulfill is pure cut throat in my book. In other words I don't believe a word that comes out of ether's mouth. I do believe they deserve each other.
Cutie Pie will be in that ride as long as Ally wants him in it. They are the ONLY reason why he is there. Should be fun when he gets jettisoned.....we will be talking about family references, etc.The only way that rumor is going to die is if Hendrick says something or Bowman quits. Ally stuck around when Jimmie Johnson retired. They'd probably stick around with a different driver if Bowman leaves.Cutie Pie will be in that ride as long as Ally wants him in it. Yep, and if they want Cutie Pie, that is what they are going to get.G.M.A.C. changed their name to ALLY.
GMAC has been a longtime sponsor of Hendrick Motorsports, providing support across multiple NASCAR series, including the Winston Cup, Busch Grand National, and Craftsman Truck Series.
GMAC changed its name to Ally in 2006, marking a shift towards becoming a full-service bank. Ally Financial, which sponsors Rick Hendrick Racing, has a rich history in automotive financing and has grown to offer a variety of financial services.
I am not questioning that.Ally stuck around when Jimmie Johnson retired. They'd probably stick around with a different driver if Bowman leaves.
It won't be with a knife in their back if they do leave I can tell ya that.Yep, and if they want Cutie Pie, that is what they are going to get.
And straight into the ditch.I hope they backed up the brinks truck for him
Five of 10 races....must be hard for some to watch. Keep watching. And straight into the ditch.
Hyak just keeps motoring along
You cant?Maybe I'm a Parker Retzlaff homer because he's from WI, but with the finishes he continues to get in Viking cars I can't see him making a big jump in level of equipment for next year. JR and Denny have both mentioned how impressive he is.
Sorry was supposed to be can't not see him moving. Someone important has to be wanting to pick him upYou cant?
It may be only $5 million if the car in question is a Rick Ware car or some other below-average runner. Trying to remember back to the antitrust lawsuit, my recollection is that the battle over the temporary injunction was roughly $25 million for 23XI and a little less for FRM... each team fielding three cars (and based on full-year amounts). My memory could be wrong, of course.Unless my math is wrong they say it's about 5 million a year less if you dont run a charter and with charters expected to sell for 100 million. 20 year ROI doesn't sound too appealing.
I just think there has to come a time soon that RWR can't afford to let Cody run around the track like he does now with the value of charters. It may be only $5 million if the car in question is a Rick Ware car or some other below-average runner. I do know it's a very complex analysis. There is a race purse bucket, available to all cars whether chartered or not. There is a race purse sweetener bucket for chartered cars only. There is a flat per-car charter payment, equal amount for all charters. There are also historical performance payments based on several years of results. And there is a year-end points fund for chartered cars. So, if Reilly Herbst's charter is worth an extra $5 or 6 million in Nascar payout, Tyler Reddick's charter could be worth half again as much (or more).
Regardless of the details, I certainly agree with your point about a lot of years to add up to $100 million. It could open up the possibility to run the 60 car unchartered for a while, until some owner is ready to sell a charter to RFK.
While I agree in principle, no one has yet received $100 million for a charter. When the next team wants to sell one, will there enough demand to support that price? Who's looking for one besides RFK?Unless my math is wrong they say it's about 5 million a year less if you dont run a charter and with charters expected to sell for 100 million. 20 year ROI doesn't sound too appealing
I imagine Kaulig looking to bring Dodge in may, depending on if nascar would give them a manufacturer one. Also I could get see RCR wanting one. They have more drivers than seats right nowWhile I agree in principle, no one has yet received $100 million for a charter. I think that NASCAR charters will vary widely in selling price depending on who wants out & who wants in. Where stick & ball franchises always seem to appreciate I don’t see that as always being the case for charters. While I agree in principle, no one has yet received $100 million for a charter. Log laps, get comfortable with it & team. Then the results come. What’ll Heim be able to do in the 35?
I think he’s a potential cup talent.Log laps, get comfortable with it & team. Then the results come.
