Thought we had one, but couldn't find it....trust the mod will address if necessary. I don't think I have ever seen such a gap from a driver's talent and the rest of the field. It isn't close. I would be curious to know how much of the race SVG was actually 100%. I don't think much. It's really astonishing. Kind of reminds me of Michael Schumacher in '96 in the rain in Spain. It was pointless to even consider that anybody could run with him. What makes all of this even more incredible is that the drivers have all of his data. Complete and utter dominance. I am looking forward to San Diego and Sonoma. How bad do the NASCAR lifers want this? .....and can they do anything about it? Great storylines.

SVG's Cup race at the Glen was a story book race. All the planets aligned for him. I don't think we will see another race like that for quite some time. The last time was 2012 with Ambrose, Keselowski and Kyle Busch racing the last lap at the Glen. Lots of changes since 2012 for road racing in Nascar. More road racing talent in today's Cup field made SVG's win even more impressive.
You can't sleep on these guys either. Crews, Honeycutt, and Zilisch can and have won road races along with ovals and they are hungry for more.

SVG's talent level is insane. In today's NASCAR there are a lot of great road racers, which makes his dominance that much more impressive. Whether it's braking, downshifting, hitting the apex just right, corner exit, you name it. I think SVG just does everything a liiiittle better than the rest, and all of that adds up. Additionally, he doesn't make mistakes and doesn't overdrive the car. I think in my lifetime, he's the best road course driver I've seen in NASCAR and it's not even close.

I wish the fanbase could appreciate how special and unique SVG’s run is in NASCAR. The man is going to win double digit Cup races in his career. Doesn’t matter if they are all on one track type. He is going against the best talent the sport has had and mowing them down.

He’s truly an elite talent at this discipline. We will probably never see a guy like him come over and put the garage on notice like he has from the moment he arrived in 2023.

Ok so here's a hypothetical does SVG make the Hall of Fame if he doesn't win on an oval? Even if he has the most road course wins all time?

I think the future holds serious competition for SVG in the forms of Connor Zilisch, Brent Crews, Kayden Honeycutt and others. It's a golden era of road racing in Nascar and I hope they don't blow it. There were plenty of good road courses out there when they decided to remove the Roval and the crowd numbers to support it.
