Agreed but nobody's getting a check, trophy, or title that way 20 years later. Today's drivers would have used different strategies under that system, the race results would have been different, and so would the points totals. Nothing anyone posts here will change that.

Now do the two points systems before Latford. They don't matter either. Might as well do the Indy and F1 scoring too.

Nobody wants to watch only 4 cars. They have every reason to be out there. They're still competing for final points positions, although the Gerbils will never acknowledge that.

You can only compete within the rules you're given.
